April 10, 200719 yr If you had to rate on a scale of 1 to 10? Post why you are/aren't, what your job/education is, and what keeps you going if you aren't. I think I would be a 6, maybe a 7. I work in an advertising company, we design and create logos, flyers, banners and stuff like that, which is pretty cool, but my real passion is music, I play accoustic and electric guitar in a little band with my friends, which we all have very high hopes for. Now unfortunately the only musical educations we have here are the same as highschool, with the regular mathematics, languages, history and stuff, but just alot more music. Anyways I don't really feel like going back to highschool, since I dropped out 3 years ago to take on this job/learning situation, (I work 4 days a week and have 1 day of school.) so I'm kindof stuck here unless I want to go back to the 8th grade and I'm 17 turning 18.. Oh well, what's your story? 99 Slayer since August 2007.
April 10, 200719 yr 6. My high school is great because we have a lot of free time (a lot) But we also have more work than any other school and it gets stressful. I'm switching schools next year for my senior year. :| :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
April 10, 200719 yr 7 school isnt too bad, but it is boring (ive fallen asleep in class a couple times)
April 10, 200719 yr 7/10 just because i'm a freshmen and have to deal with BS engineering classes. they make the first ones just so ridiculous and..well..i dunno...just BS to weed people out who don't belong in engineering. it will be a 10/10 when i'm a junior...that's when i learn stuff that matters
April 10, 200719 yr 10/10. I mean, I feel like it's not fair to give a completely perfect rating, but I can't imagine a better school situation than I'm in right now. The classes I'm taking are all fascinating (Sociology, the Meaning of Life and Death, and two advanced math classes - Discrete mathematics and Galois Theory), the professors are brilliant and accessible and engaging... and my peers are amazing. Everybody hug and spread the love :D
April 10, 200719 yr Not too happy at the moment. The job is aright, but the pay isn't and it doesn't give much perspective for the future. And I've dropped out of school, I know I should start again, but there's not much that I'd like to do. Ah well, I'll work something out in the end, but at the moment, I'm not too glad with it. April 10, 200719 yr Ooohh, probably about 6/10 here. I'm at university studying maths and physics, which is all very nice and interesting and all that. I'm very happy with the place, the people and the subject matter. My plan is to switch to plain maths, however (I'm just more interested in it than the physics). This is where things begin to go awry. My director of studies (the guy who handles the administrative side of my courses) told me that I could switch to maths at the end of this year... which turns out not to be quite true. See, because I did direct entry into the second year (because it's a Scottish university and I'm English) I had to take a catch-up maths course for the physics side of things so that everything would make sense. As it happens, that limited the number of courses I could take... though he didn't notice this, I think. I wasn't aware of it myself at the time. Anyway, to cut what would be quite a long story short, unbeknownst to both of us I didn't do 1 out of the 4 maths courses required for the third year of maths. Wonderful. So now I have to retake the second year. It's not so bad... it's not as if I'm losing any time, really: it'll just be as if I didn't do direct entry (though confusingly did two different second years instead of a first). I'm hoping something good can come of this. I mean, with any luck they'll let me take something interesting in the meantime -- after all, if they don't I'll have one two-and-a-half hour per week course... which only runs in the second term. So yeah -- I imagine they will. (They'd better!) Another concern is that all my (course) friends are in the (current) second year. Not that I got to socialize a whole lot during the lectures and so on, but I did have a lot of spare time that coincided with theirs... But then, I suppose I can make a few new friends, too. Anyway, now the people I'm going to be living with next year are going to finish university a year earlier than me, and (at some point) I'm going to have to find new people to live with, which will be a hassle. ...and the worst thing is that I still have to do all the admin stuff to sort all this out. So while I'm generally enjoying my time there, this is a bit of a pain. So much determined by one small mistake. deviantart account
April 10, 200719 yr 8/10. I bury people, don't meet too many ladies with my profession. The job is easy more than half the time though.
April 10, 200719 yr 10/10 My life is going wonderfully, school sucks but I don't stress about it. I just got a new job at a Hardware store which I love. Socially, me and my friends are having a great time. Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.
April 10, 200719 yr 6/10 My job at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory is pretty cool(Everything is free while I'm working and 30% off while I'm not, as well as a 10% discount at almost every store at the mall its at), but I really need a lot more hours than they are giving me if I ever want to make even half of the money I made at my last job. ~^v^~Ex-Leader of the Divine Flames of Redemption~^v^~
April 10, 200719 yr 7/10. Im pretty happy overall, with just a few minor problems. :) Quit Runescape 30th May 2006.Thanks to Hawkxs for my signature :)
April 10, 200719 yr 5 because we have no windows nor a gym and a flat auditorium with a small stage. Bloody lack of funding and needing to convert a department store into a school. And now they just passed a grant to renovate and relocate schools, and of course, are school, the worst of them all, is next to LAST! :XD: Oh well, I give my city a 1.5 because it is one of the worst in the nation. April 10, 200719 yr 7/10 or 8/10 here. My life is fine but its mostly just revolving around working > going home > repeat. I have until august for wen school starts up (going to college next year after leaving half way through my first year) and going to be going to school with a friend I've known since 9th grade. All in all should be interesting. Right now though I can't really complain. I have a good job for what I'm doing / my first job ($9 an hour, 40 hour weeks.) and my life at home is great.

Really? Where do you live? (Don't answer if you don't want to) I'd give my area an 8/10 (I'm in school). The teachers are great, they really know what they're talking about, but there are a couple of problems. This one teacher has a bit of an...odd teaching strategy. The classes are great, but the high school has a rushed feel to it. The rooms are a little plain and dirty, and some of the classes are a bit boring. As far as social stuff goes, we could use a couple of more places to hang out locally. Some of the people here are real [puncture]s, too. My friends are awesome and they really understand all of this, but some people are just...:-X
April 10, 200719 yr Really? Where do you live? (Don't answer if you don't want to) Saginaw or as we call it "Sagnasty". It's close to Flint as well, which is the worst in the country I believe. If not the worst then probably second followed by Detroit, but they're both in Michigan. Bloody state. :x *Edit* Well apparently Saginaw doesn't rank as high as I thought but still, Flint (which is less them 10 miles away) and Detroit both rank 2nd and 3rd, Detroit 2nd, and Flint 3rd. Too bad we're out because we lost to Sault Saint Marie. :( But I do billet a player from the team from Slovenia so it's not like all is lost, yet. Me doing staff.

April 10, 200719 yr Your place can't be that bad if Colbert supports it :P That's because we have an eagle for a mascot. :P But yeah, I love the publicity he's bringing us, plus, with his power he even brought Canada some publicity with his Colbert Day in Oshawa. :) Me doing staff.
April 10, 200719 yr Yeah, I read about that on the paper when they celebrated it last month. Too bad he's too busy to actually fly to Oshawa :? :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
April 11, 200719 yr Id say about 7. I go to a 6th form and my classes and teachers are ayte but i just wanna get to uni now but i still have 1 1/2 years to go.
April 11, 200719 yr I'd give it 8/10. I have one crappy lecturer and I don't like my job. However, the rest of uni is a blast, and the market research job I have is easy, with convenient hours and good pay. I have a wonderful girlfriend and no really huge issues except that electoral enrollment form I really should get around to filling out. Detroit is beginning to work it's problems out (finally). Besides, some areas around Flint have turned into very nice places (Blanc). As for my "west side", I'd rate my school a 9/10. Second best high school in the state, and I like all of my classes. I just get stressed out to easy. Socially I'd rate my school 10/10. Good area, good kids, doesn't get any better. < | Runehead | Learning Java Programming, Please PM Me Tips | Signature by Loaf2000 | >
