Rebdragon
I would've beat them all into the ground without a second thought, or at least tried to, regardless whether or not there was a chance I could win (doubt I would win though >_<, other than fast reflexes and kicks I've got no form of formal training whatsoever >_<). If they punched me it'd be a different story, I don't care enough to protect myself. But if some besterd did that to my friend... he's dead. Now, I'd ignore them during the insults, but if they even layed a finger on anyone my foot is going into their stomach -.- . Zonorhc
1. How would your group acted diffrently? Depends on the day. If it was a Monday, at least two of us will be carrying wooden swords for combat practice later, and someone will be carrying an actual rapier for light combat. Nobody in their right mind threatens a group with two clubs and a sword. Any other day, and one of my friends will be carrying his combat knife around. We're not all very big people, but we know enough of how to kill someone with our bare hands. We're not very violent, actually, but I can see us getting carried away, what with adrenaline and all. If I was just with my girlfriend, no biggie. She doesn't have anything against hitting below the belt, and she does some whackjob Shaolin thing in her spare time... 2. What would you have done? I'd do my best to draw the scene somewhere with at least two security cameras, and make sure other people can see what's about to happen. I might take a couple of punches before running if I'm on my own. If I'm with my group, like I said, things might turn out differently. 3. What would you have done afterwards? Call the police and make sure that they examine the security videos. SirHartlar
1. How would your group acted differently? It would depend totally who I am with. I have some friends who won't take anything from anyone but I have others who will let people wak all over them. I guess I am in the middle. I would have probably tried to ignore it, but I get wound up pretty easily. If I was with a group of friends that was being aggressive I wouldn't try and defuse the situation if we were 'started' on. If I was with a group of friends that were being passive I would have probably thrown some verbals but that is about it. 2. What would you have done? Again, it depends who I am with and who the group of people hurling abuse at us is. I am quite short for my age but I am also quite vicious, I personally don't care about getting hurt when I am fighting. I would only start throwing punches if I felt confident everyone in my group was safe and violence was absolutely necessary. I am not stupid either, I wouldn't start a fight if we were grossly outnumbered or if the opposition had a big height and weight advantage over me. 3. What would you have done afterwards? Probably go back to one of our houses, laugh it off and forget about it.
angryjoe
To be honest i would of just walked off and gone somewhere inside with a few more people around so that they wouldn't start owt. Most chavs will just get more people in their group and batter you later or they do round by wher i live. There was only once when i came to fisticuffs with some chav guy when he was in a group of 3 and i was with 4 other mates and this guy squared up to me that i battered but then later a big group came up and kicked seven shades of [cabbage] out of me. So yeh i'd just keep my distance.

1_man_army
1. How would your group acted diffrently? Out of my group of friends I'm the one who has a low tolerance to gobby little tubes. I always seem to be the one who reacts first & pre-empts confrontation of other groups. Depending on the siuation & on who the other group are, my friends would either stop me making things worse or they'd let the situation develop & wade in to stop me getting jumped. Just to point out - I don't cause the issue I just refuse to back down. 2. What would you have done? As soon as your friends necklace was broken I would have reacted physically, I'm grown man in a teenage boys body so I might get a kicking, but you can't let idiots like that intimidate you and get away with it. 3. What would you have done afterwards? I would have just moved on, afterwards it would be an issue. I'm not one to dwell on things. You can't let people push you around, violence isn't the right answer in an ideal world but thats all these people understand. They get enjoyment out of intimidating people, personally I refuse to give them that enjoyment although I admit that it's often to my detrement. He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)
Barihawk
If the average chav looks anything like that picture, I could flick them away. Thank God we don't have anything like that in the States. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley
StrOwez
Sorry to hear that.. I live in Liverpool aka Chav heaven so I gotta be 'sound with them. 1. How would your group acted diffrently? 2. What would you have done? 3. What would you have done afterwards? 1. Guys that i hang around with, well pretty build and usually the scalls/chavs don't say anything. 2. Probably knock some of them out, if they touched my friend who was a girl I'd probably be very angry. 3. Told them to run... or... went to another cinema.. Anyway..I think you did the right thing considering your situation. A friend to all is a friend to none.
mango2006pl
if that were me... me and my friends would put on some MAJOR drama, and there would be fists and feet flying everywhere. they wouldnt know what hit em in fact, we would acctually go over to them when they said "come over here" and thats when we would get crazy
Erk02
If the average chav looks anything like that picture, I could flick them away. Thank God we don't have anything like that in the States.Yes, but in places like Oakland, L.A., Compton, Detroit, we have thugs and whiggers, the latter being a lot worse. Odd, I live in Oakland, and I generally don't get threatened. I do English to Japanese and Japanese to English translation for free! MyPurpleCrayon
I have to say mate, I think your group handled it bloody well. Not being dragged down to that pushy shovy, threatening level is very, very tough. Having one friend acting defensive showed you weren't prepared to be pushed around, while you didn't all get involved and escalate the incident. It was understandable one of you would retaliate with words, but at least it was just that: words. Getting the police involved scared them off with their tails between their legs. Your priorities were right, safety and getting your friend cared to. Honestly, well bloody done. Ideally, I'd react exactly the same, but I don't know if I would :P Hope your friend makes a speedy recovery. I'll just say this: never forget the two who brought this upon you. Not after weeks, months or years. Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. Let them look over their shoulders for awhile. Thanks I agree completely. :P Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.
jemathonical
Me and my friends would probably smash the 'chavs'. We don't take crap like that. We fight back. Being in a football team, at training we learn how to fight and I would've knocked them.I wouldn't take that if were you. They deserve to get bashed in, not fined by the cops or anything. ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!
willysp
well, im a pretty big guy, so noone really tries to mess with me. But if someone like the guys you described did, id make sure they regretted it. But id make sure they swung first, then if I got in trouble I could say self defense. and my friends are pretty much the exact same way, but in various sizes and builds :P My WoW character, gnome warlock Saldomar
