Your Guide To RuneCrafting Fires!!!

firemakingvp8.png

Yes i know this tactic is commonly known, but let us share our information to those who do not!

Many people dream of getting their runecrafting up to 44, 54, or even the fabled 91 to make mega profit, but until then, the journey is perilous, and takes a long time. People want to get up their runecrafting fast, and many are too impatient to do so. However by manipulation of teleportation locations used by certain items, many people have accomplished their goal. But how exactly did they do it?

Hello and Welcome To Admant45's (FIRST!) Guide, The guide on Fire Crafting!!! Let's Hope its a good one! :pray:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
INDEX
VII. Q + A
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I. REQUIREMENTS:

RuneCrafting: 14 - having 35 or 70 isn't needed, but produces more runes.

A Membership

Dueling Rings: Make or buy yourself

Rune Essence: Mine it or buy from free-worlders :twisted:

Glory Amulets: OPTIONAL

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
II. OBTAINING ESSENCE
Sorry free worlders, but we're going to use you for our advantage :shock:
Go to a crowded FREE world and buy regular essence at 30gp each from Varrock east bank. I got about 12.5k essence in only 20mins, and for MUCH LESS THAN PURE ESSENCE.
Say...
Buying all ess 30gp ea! [name]!
You can also mine your own...
PROS of Mining essence:
-It's free!
-Mining experience.
CONS of Mining essence
-A lot slower.
-That itself is just about the only reason... but don't be fooled! THe time in mining thousands of essence may just make you quit! :ohnoes:
III. THE PROCEDURE
IIIa. THE PROCEDURE: Dueling Rings
Ok Member's it's time to use your unfair advantage! :twisted:
***Get Duelling Rings!!!
1. Go to Al Kharid, try not to use a Dueling Ring, as then you'll have an extra charge that you won't be able to use!
2. At Al Kharid, go to the Fire Altar - it is located North Of the Duelling Arena, the pile of rocks that is glowing red from the cracks - hard to miss.
firealtardx8.png
3. After You craft all of your essences, Operate your dueling ring and teleport to the castle wars arena. Bank, and repeat.
IIIb. THE PROCEDURE: Glory Amulets
***Note that I am not too familiar with this method, and if I'm off, someone feel free to correct me on this method.
*** Since this method uses glory amulets, make sure to bring some that are FULLY CHARGED. If you don't have too many, then some games necklaces would be a good idea, as to recharge any glories.
1. Go to Al Kharid using a dueling ring, walk to the altar, and craft your fires. DON'T use your Ammy to get to Al Kharid, it places you far from the altar.
tobedeletedts3.png
2. Use your glory to teleport to Edgeville, bank and repeat.
This method is better if you have a lot of glory amulets, and not as many dueling rings to use.
***You could also use glory's alone by going from Edgeville to the altar if your finishing up any essence or have no Dueling rings left.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

IV. NOTES

IVa. NOTES: Rings

-Each duelling ring has 8 charges, so you can do 4 trips to the alar per ring. This means 108 essence per ring, if your not using a tiara or pouches!

-Duelling rings are about 3k each.

-THIS METHOD IS ONE OF THE FASTEST WAYS TO GET UP RUNECRAFTING FOR MEMBERS!

- What you need...

whatyouneedfq1.png

tobedeletednb8.png thanks to runescape.com for the glory/duel ring images

IVb. NOTES: Amulets

-Glory Amulets are around 70k.

-Since each glory has 4 charges, you will get 2 runs per amulet, you will get 54 runes per glory, if you dont use a tiara or pouches or multiples

-What you need is the same, but you also need a glory amulet

***FIRE RUNES GIVE 7XP PER ESSENCE USED!!!

*** At 50 agility, i found that I was making energy fast enough so that I COULD KEEP RUNNING FOREVER USING THESE METHODS!!! having armor on, or lower agility may null this guarantee.

V. TIARAS AND POUCHES

Va. TIARAS

Tiaras are made by fusing a tiara made of a silver mould and the talisman of the corresponding tiara at the altar. They can be worn, and therefore you have another essence in your inventory! You can also enter the altar in 1-click! Very useful.

Vb. POUCHES

After doing the abyss mini-quest (not to be explained in this guide), the Zamorak mage will give you acces to the abyss, and therefore access to pouches. Pouches are means to store essence, and are recieved by killing the abyss monsters (although a small one will be recieved for free)

A small pouch holds 3 essence and requires 1 runecrafting to have.

A medium pouch holds 6 essence and requires 25 runecrafting to have.

A large pouch holds 9 essence and requires 50 runecrafting to have.

a giant pouch holds 12 essence and requires 75 runecrafting to have.

tobedeletedom2.png(thanks tip.it for the image)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
VI. EXP Table
***This test was done for 30 minutes, do to the fact that I made some errors.... and couldn't stretch it to an hour lol...
***I used a small pouch and a talisman, a total of 29 essence per load, using the rings only method.
STARTING
Exp/Lvl - 59,368/44
Rings - 103
Essence - 11,211
AFTER 30mins
Exp/Lvl - 65,038/45
Rings - 96
Essence - 10,402
TOTALS
Exp Earned - 5670
Rings Used - 7
Essence Used - 809
This may look pathetic compared to other skills, especially in time - and it is. But would you rather do this or go to the earth ltar back and forth? :-k
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

VII. Q + A

Q. Why not bank in the Duelling Arena?

A. At first, The Arena seems like a better choice, but due to banking time it is not - You will also run out of run energy, where you will almost never using these methods.

Q. Do I earn more experience if i can double or triple my fire runes?

A.NO! Experience remains the same (7 per essence used)

Q. Could I use only Glory Ammys to craft?

A. You COULD.... but it would take much more time.

Q. Bored.... As... Heck... :wall:

A. Take some time off! Play a round of CWars or take some duels... But CWArs is more fun... If you see Lanthus yell 1min till next round, try getting in! :thumbsup:

Dude. I saw another guide on this EXACT subject here not 10 days ago. Try using the search button and making sure somebody hasn't already written a guide covering the same thing (to the letter, almost). Sorry!

perfect grammar is one thing, typing like a drugged monkey and enjoying it is another

AMEN!

:P mehhh, wanted to add a certain thing to. Also I had a few ideas for you to try:

-A tiny bit less sarcasm :P I like it, but it is an overkill. Round it up with complete sentences, just to give that touch of professionalism.

-Pouches are always handy.

-Alternative glory strategy to edgeville. (for those who do have tons of these)

-The amount of trips per hour and calculating the experience per hour, using 1-2-3-4 pouches. And duo duel ring or glory strategy

-Leveling rate (time)

-Costs (per experience)

-A touch on the lay-out. A bit less chaotic.

-Tell people how the guide's Lay-out is, index or something. And a kind of interesting intro.

Thanks a lot 12pure! Your ideas helped then! :o I'm going to get an exp per hour soon, (using a small pouch) however I won't be able to use it with more pouches, or no pouches, due to my amount of rings. However i WILL put in a cost/experience/payback table... Eventually :-w

Just one question - what is the price of fire runes? I beleive it was 10-15gp each?

A guy did the a guide to the same thing a while ago, but your is already looking better (he only showed one method and had very few pics.

A few tips/tricks:

*Using rings of duelling to tele to the fire alter and glorys edgeville tele to bank (cuts the cost of using duelling rings in half.)

*At 35 you can make double fires and 70 triple fires meaning you can get some of the money back (a common fact, but worth noting)

*If you're looking to multi task try mining some iron after you've crafted your fires.

*Hunter capes and Penance gloves help reduce weight.

*Fire tiara is far superior to the fire tally as it allow one extra ess, increasing your exp by a lot in the long run.

Hope I helped.

why don't you just bank at the duel arena? probably faster and less expensive than using rings/glories

Its no where near as fast as the duel arena bank is a lot farther then the direct tele locations the at edgeville and cwars.

Good guide but it's allready mentioned on tipit.

Fire rune crafting

Both of the below methods require you to use Dueling Rings. These are made using Emeralds and Gold; more info can be found in our crafting guide. The first method also requires the use of an Amulet of Glory. Info on that can be found in our Crafting guide as well as our Getting Around Guide.

Start out with an Amulet of Glory and a Dueling Ring. Use your ring to teleport to the Duel Arena. The Fire Altar is a short walk from there and you can runecraft your essences. Then use your Amulet to teleport to Edgeville bank where you can withdraw more essences and repeat the process.

A similar idea to the first tactic but slightly different. Use a Dueling Ring to teleport to the Duel Arena and craft your essences at the Fire Altar there. Then use your ring again to teleport to the Castle Wars location and use the bank chest there to withdraw more essences. As the ring has 8 uses, each ring will last you 4 trips so it would be wise to stock up on as many rings as you need for the number of essences you have.

I myself have 200 emeralds banked and 25 glorys. So I have a choice. Either use glorys, cuts down on expenses. Or use duel rings, which is just a bit faster. As you have to switch jewelry less.

For calculations on the medium/large/huge pouch. Just test the number of runs and divide by your test amount essence x amount of essence using that pouch.

So small pouch is 27 + 3

Medium pouch is 26 + 3 + 6

Large pouch is 25 + 3 + 6 + 9

Huge pouch is 24 + 3 + 6 + 9 + 12

So if you make 10 runs which gives .. lets say 50xp via small pouch. Then 50 / 30 x 35 = medium pouch experience. Use that
