Theres 4 definate skills that can train hp and then 1 more that can give hp exp. He had 50+ Slayer at level 3 or something The other stats, you could just use controlled the whole way. But of course magic + ranged would be hard. You get HP xp from the kill right? Hits is very easy with Pest Control now days. If you hit 97 hits and your still 95 stregnth, attack and defense, then simply play a few hundred PC games and level everything to 97. By the time youget it you will only accumulate 4-500k hits exp. Slayer on the other hand is near impossible to train to 99 without getting another 99 in the process. Possible, but you have to be near perfect. Rings of recoil can only go so far. Doing all slayer tasks with melee to 90ish, then cannon to 98 and magic to 98 would get you close. Then its just a matter seeing how much hits exp you can afford to keep training and then finish melee with PC. Then alch for 99 mage. then get all the rest on slayer task using controlled making sure the slayer exp is above the hp exp. This would be very VERY hard 76th to reach 99 Construction on 6th of February 2007379th to reach 99 Runecrafting on 4th of November 2007 Finally the secrets of goal achieving are revealed! I think the way for him to go is just get all the other skills higher now, and use tears of guthix to get some weekly xp. Ofcourse that wouldn't be enough, so you should train slayer by using a canon (ranged) and melee. It's hard, and I Gonga Jew won't make it.. He is 'close' to 99hp, with 5.7mil slayer xp left to go!
