I have got THE most useless item on RuneScape! Behold! The Broken Pole!

That's all I can think of for now.

I'd have to say that the proboscis, dropped by the mosquitos are the most useless item in the game. They are neither entertaining or informative, and have no use. They are worth nothing at the store either.

Ok, realize, I was not around in time to be a major player of RSC. I came along in Sept. '04, just after the switch to RS2. By this time, Jagex has already removed the original use to the Disk.

 

 

 

Now by, though this may be tough for some people, doing some light reading one can find out that the Original Use for the Disk was once able to be bought from a shop in the Dwarven Mines (correct me on that one point if I'm wrong...), and was used, and yes, Armadillo was Right, used to visit the Black Hole. This was a place where Jagex placed those deemed to be "banned," but instead of disallowing log-in, they came into the Black Hole, where they could do practically nothing.

 

Nowadays, Jagex just bans people outright, and disables their account.

 

 

 

Smapla, you are wrong because Castle Wars was LONG after DoR was disabled.

Gold ring... You can't see it when you wear it... it offers no bonuses... you can't add a jewel to it, it's completely useless IMO

Correct me if i am wrong but the big high war god is Brandos, as the goblin mace protects you from his followers in the god dungeon.

 

 

 

Also technically all books but the elemental workshop ones are useless, beyond their entertainment value. Elemental workshop ones allow you to make shields and helms. -not that i don't enjoy some of those books.

Ok, here's my thoughts, the absolute most useless item would meet these requirements:

 

 

 

1. cant be used with something else or alone(can't be eaten)

 

2. can't be worn(falls under requirement #1)

 

3. not used in any quest, achievement diary, or minigame at all

 

4. does not give exp in any way

 

5. (debatable) is not obtained by doing anything that gives exp or accomplishes anything

 

 

 

so basically you have to find all items that fall under all these requirements, and if you like, reduce the list to things not found on ground(I still vote for tiles lol) and/or sort by monetary value(or remove anything that isn't worth 0gp wherever you sell it) and there you go.
