Guest Posted May 24, 2007 Share Posted May 24, 2007 Well here's a different/out there type of topic for us to discuss. I was wondering what is your view on public nudity? This can be seen in a number of ways. For instance, your views on streaking, or whether or not you think nudity in places such as a nudist camp or beach is acceptable in today's society? Or even whether you hate it when people walk around naked while getting changed in your local gym or swimming pool changing rooms. I for one don't care too much about streakers, as they can bring excitement (particularly when the opposite gender is involved :P ) at a sporting event, though I think that nudist camps are just weird places where old men and woman can hang out and perv on each other, while nudity in change rooms doesn't concern me too much, as long as their not in my general vicinity or view for anymore than an accidental glance. :wink: So what's your opinions? Haha, I remember when I went a 20/20 cricket match (20 overs only each side, so it's alot shorter), and gives people much less time to drink, so they drink as much as they can as fast as they can (the shops under the stadium ran out of alcohol after a couple hours. :lol: That night there were three NUDE streakers, one was a girl, and she got taken down hard by the security gaurd, smacked her head on the ground haha, almost made it to the other side though. I don't cause about nudist colonies, I mean, it is there choice and you don't have to go to one and have a look. I get a bit unnerved in changing rooms though, cover your junk! Like, you'll be sitting down doing up your shoes, what ever, and some 60 year old guy with wrinkyl balls, is standing next to you, penis in your face anyone? At my school, there is a tradition of the "naked party," which i've attended twice - you get there and there's a derobing room where you leave your clothes, and then you head over to the next room where there is music and dancing. It's been one of the best experiences I've had - it's very freeing to just be naked with all your friends and dancing. You know what's really amazing? When people are naked, EVERYONE is beautiful. Really. People who seem unattractive or overweight when they're clothed - when they're naked, you realize that everyone's body just works out. There is no such thing as ugly :) Anyway, I've done my fair bit of streaking and public nudity (though in places where small children and people who would be scandalized would not be around - on my college campus), and I would say I'm a fan. Our society's emphasis on shame and clothing is outdated and ridiculous. The human body is beautiful and not inherently sexual. We should love ourselves and our bodies :D FYI, I'm a 19-year-old girl, so it's not just old people who are nudists! Just gets a little weird when I'm showering at the Gym, and since the showers have no doors it's a little uncomfortable sometimes. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason.
