RayOxide
Well, I was thinking, there should be a 'Wishing Well' around Goblin Village, where people can throw away items into it, and others can go there to take some. Conditions: 1 Item can be picked out per hour There can only be 5 of the same items in one well in one world (E.G. World 66 - 2 rune b axes, World 99 - 5 Rune b axes (Max)) You can only dump 3 things into the well per hour. (IP) The wishing well will gave a random item Money, noted items, stackable items can NOT be stored in the well ~This will not help drop trading. Anyone who thinks of doing this are complete idiots. ~Link this in your sig if you think it's a good idea I dont need a siggy no moar.
Roald
this could make drop trading easier i think, but also a lot riskier... :o
Freesia
Not a good idea at all, beggars will go and swarm around there in hopes of free items. Also this feature may bring in a new type of scam where scammers trick oblivious innocents into throwing their items down the well. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
RayOxide
Umm.. I was going to update it but forgot, to say: You can only search for 5 items per 5 hours. (1 per hour) which is 24 items daily, It is a lucky dip. You get what's thrown in. It wont help drop trading at all. Seeing as you said making it riskier is true enough. I dont need a siggy no moar. ThruItAll
You get a random item from the well, yeah? Any drop trader has a bigger chance of not getting his item. danke Schon Sam!^^"Blood runs thicker, oh were thick as thieves you know"-Carl Barât
The_Dragon_Reborn
Very good idea. I like that you would only be able to get 1 per hour, and completely random. Seems scamproof at the moment, but someone will think of something. Very good idea. ~~Let The Dragon ride again, on the winds of time~~I've always felt as if I'm the only person who can understand the concept of sarcasm on the internet. kelbri
I do like this idea, but it should be less than 1 item per hour. Maybe only twice per day. Perhaps you can only throw in 2 things per day, and only take something out, if you throw something in. That would further prevent beggars. I also like the randomness of what you get out. I can see it now, new player smiths 500 bronze axes, throws them all in the wishing well. Old player, throws in fune simmy, in hopes of getting something good back, gets a bronze axe. The scam that I can see happening is scammer: Hey, give me your _____, and I'll throw my _____ into the well and you can just take it out. player: Ok, here's my ______. scammer: Ok *throws in bronze dagger*, go get it
Gehackte
but if they (jagex) makes a warning like do you realy want to throw something in its totally random what u get back so dont use this for trades if someone says trade like this report as item scamming Yes No (buttons i wanted to put them in :P How does 20 minutes turn into 2.5 hours? Was your math perhaps magical math?

Also who makes 500 bronze axes lol If you do things right people won't be sure you've done anything at all.
RayOxide
How about, non noted items, and only able to drop 3 items per hour? I personally think it can't make scamming any worse, especially if they make an article about it, then they say, "You will only get something random." Also, JAGeX should fill it up every month with a decent item. This should also help with the low cash amounts in the game. : I dont need a siggy no moar. flava0falcon
there well be like....1 valueable item someone throws in in a month...not a good idea in my opinion...if anyone wanted to get rid of something valueable and doesnt care if he gets any money for it he would rather have a drop party instead...atleast most of the people would...and it will only attract beggers there...i wouldnt like the new varrock! support new ghostly stuff here.I see RuneScape slowly turning into a sadistic version of WoW..signature your as this use backwards this read to enough smart were you If

flava0falcon
Fine then. Maybe in the Monastery. Where most noobs don't go. O:) get 34 prayer is not that hard...people who understand just a little would still come there...it would cut beggers there atleast a half than varrock but still there is no reason for this...people should still work for the stuff they want and not beg/ put [cabbage] in a stupid well and hope for the best...it will ruin the game because its basicly begging without words and people can get rich by luck...and you still didnt explain why you want it so much and whats the point :uhh: support new ghostly stuff here.I see RuneScape slowly turning into a sadistic version of WoW..signature your as this use backwards this read to enough smart were you If
mememe513
31 prayer requirement for Monastery. I think that you can only put in say 10 items a day and "withdraw" 10 items every day. The requirements to use the wishing well (possibly in Rimmington?) are some rope, a bucket, and an extra item to throw in. You can not put in stackable items, only ones that can be noted
Prankster_King
1 item per day would be better than the x amount per hour.
