In the process of making an acc thread on SH for our band as per request of my teammate. Wow, nice :shock: ! How long did it take to complete it? er... we started at about 10 am, got 14 songs in, then the power cut out, so we started again, and we finished at about 4pm..ish. I think. Run to the Hills at like 2am (we took a couple of breaks) after playing 57 songs in a row = no chance at 5 stars with a drummer :D I'm trying to free up some time for the ESL2 with my friend, but someone keeps coming up, last friday his mom had to work out in his basement just before we started at 7... for 2 hours. And we weren't going to start at 9 because we wanted the Bladder of Steel achievement (No failing/pausing), and since we were doing guitar and drums, 83 songs in a row + 2am + visions + drums = mega phail Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Was 16 ticks behind nothankyoo after the first activation, which means I got 20 ticks more than he did on the 2nd o.O... This song is definitely not optimized. Edit: As a side note, I have gotten 12 more ticks on the 1st activation, which means that if I could pull everything off in one run (including the last squeeze, which I have *never* gotten...), I'd have first by 16 points! DarkDude Posted October 21, 2008 Share Posted October 21, 2008 Guitar Hero world tour is fun :D Some of the new mechanics take a while to get used to and I had a quick go on the bass, the open notes make it a lot harder. Done about 50% of the solo career I think, some good songs a lot of forgettable ones in there. Although my school is holding a Guitar Hero tourney next week, and the winner gets a PS3 along with the Guitar Hero 3 set, so it'd be nice if I could win that and be able to play World Tour (along with GH3) online. On a side note, I made another video, this time an FC of FCPREMIX. Getting the 'End Lead' was complete luck (as always), and it was a half-decent run but I can and probably will do better in the near future. I know the person who one last year will be a force to be reckoned with and probably goes on SH too, but I don't know if there's anyone else who does (maybe some freshman will step up to the plate :shock: ). I choked (as in last 10 notes) on 3 runs that would've tied for 1st, and missed the last squeeze on an otherwise optimal run. Someday my mental block will finally go away >_> I have hit every squeeze in this song a number of times, so it's just managing it all at once that's the problem... Next redux will likely be Sunshine of Your Love, Miss Murder, or La Grange, as each is outside of the top 100 and should *technically* be easy enough to get into the top 100... Unfortunately, what should technically be possible isn't always that easy... whammying Miss Murder is near impossible for me, and Sunshine of Your Love is almost entirely up to what luck I have with the last activation. We'll see. On another side note, in a random practice run of Flood!, I FCed the last of the YB trills (which is coincidentally the fastest of the 3, at 20.3 NPS [even I didn't know they were *that* fast :s]) one-handed, which means I have now FCed each individual 'phrase' of Flood! one-handed on full speed, though I have absolutely no consistency. All that means is I've proven I *could* FC the song, but I'm a looooooong way from it. Edit: Because I feel like going into more detail on Flood! - the fastest trill in the section that I have been able to hit consistently is the YB trill that is in measures 136 and 137. This trill is 17.2 NPS, which is decently respectable, but my consistency dies on the BO in measure 148, which is only 17.5 NPS... a mere .3 NPS difference is enough to throw all my consistency out the window. As such, 20.3 NPS is a major leap to make, and I don't expect it anytime soon, though I may invest a bit more practice now that I know I can do it. So they put a code on the instruction manual of each game to get the extra tracks instead of pushing back the release date. And Rock Band DLC is amazing, can you really call it bad at all when Guitar Hero has like 20 DLC songs in total, and Rock Band will have over 500 songs by the Holidays? Rock Band 1 = 58 Songs Rock Band 2 = 84 Songs Current DLC = Around 300 That adds up to 442 as of now. They still have four albums to be released this year. The Colour And The Shape = 12 songs Texas Flood = 10 songs Best Of, No Doubt = About 12 songs Nothing's Shocking = 10 songs That's 486. 20 Free DLC = 20... songs... (lol) Rock Band: AC/DC = 18 songs That's 524. Pretty sure I have actually managed a 2x multiplier, at least... Every once in a while, I'll attempt one of the numerous tapping methods, and I get 9 notes every time... I just haven't figured them out yet. It's all about speed *and* consistency on One, and I have to build up both of them... On each of the slower practice speeds I can go farther... I can FC the triplets on slowest one-handed, but it's a rather large jump between 11.2 NPS and 22.5...
