Mlb, to be fair, vox is broken in many ways, but if you sing on pitch, you won't fail. The brokenness comes in the Words, the freestyle sections, etc. I have yet to see someone complain that it's failing to acknowledge that they're singing on the right pitch - none of the top Rock Band vocalists that have come over have reported problems with that side of it, and they would be the ones who would know.

Just because being technical is fun, she's 2nd in the world on Rock Band 2 (or was, I don't have it and thus can't check leaderboards), and even lower on Rock Band. She is an excellent vocalist though, I just like technicalities.

I assume you're referring to the video description in her latest video (since her site says nothing, and she's banned from scorehero - unless that changed recently):

It is still very difficult to keep a combo in these songs because you have to sing a very high percentage of the phrase very accurately, and the engine is very particular on you being the slightest bit sharp or flat.

This is on Expert, so if you were playing on any difficulty lower than that, using her statement as a means of defense is weak at best. Additionally, there is a giant gaping difference between not keeping combo and failing. I can't keep combo throughout all of TTFAF, but I haven't failed the song in months.

I'm not trying to argue with you here, I really don't mean to start an argument, but you need verifiable proof of a problem before you claim it exists. I have never blamed the game for any misses unless they were quite definitely not my own (overstrums when my hand wasn't even on the strum bar, notes visibly not registering when I had the frets held down, etc.), and it annoys me when others blame the game. Your copy may be faulty, your mic may be faulty, but there is no proof that the game is so incredibly broken that you would fail from singing properly.

No, I have not, and will not be playing it until sometime in December most likely. I am fully aware that having not played it, I can't give a fully backed opinion, so don't bother throwing that in my face. However, I have watched a number of videos, read a number of reviews (both on and off scorehero), and spoken with a number of friends who HAVE played (including conversations specifically about the vocals). Out of all of these, you are the first person I've heard of with the game being that 'broken'. Specifically, one of my friends directly said they were "having a great time with vocals and doing pretty well". That friend is a good singer outside of the game, and has enough musical background to recognize if they were on pitch or not.

Again, I don't want this to turn into an argument, though I fear it may have already. Again, I'm tired of people blaming a game - it's a program, and the same code can only act so much differently between discs. It's not like the programmers maliciously made your specific disc to fail you - if people who I can guarantee *know* what they're talking about when it comes to singing aren't failing every time they try, the code can't be entirely to blame.

Well, I got WT and have been playing for hours, its awesome :twss: I just finished the set with Sweet Home Alabama in it. Im loving those purple note thingies, I really wish they had them in Guitar hero 3, then I might have been able to pass the intro to TTFAF. Also, ive only failed one song so far (Love Me Two Times) but that was because I played so long I was too sore to pinky trill. I took a break and havent failed a song since then :D.

does anybody know if the GHWT guitar works with rock band or if the rock band guitar works with GHWT

edit: ok i searched around a bit and found out the both guitars work with the other game and the RB drums work with GHWT but the GHWT drums dont work with RB

i dont know what to get because my sister really wants the GHWT drums and i really want to be able to play guitar and drums on both games (i decided to get both games and 1 set of guitar drums e.g. GHWT complete set + RB game) cost isnt a factor because the difference is only about 10-20$

what do you think i should do?

Put GH3 in yesterday for the first time for a couple of weeks.

I played TTFAF, the best I'd ever played it. My previous best score is 370k I believe, this time I was up to well over 400k and I failed at around 81% :s I hadn't even got the end section (Part just past the 3 note chords) which would have probably taken me to over 500k. ARdfhgdhfkgdfgdfjghiurngdkjfngkjdfbgkjjdf stupid song, Can't remember the last time before that I failed it, and this time when I played really well I failed, would have been my first 4 star run of it atleast (Meaning everything was atleast 4 stars on disc). Blah.

I DAMN YOU TO HELL, SOLO F!!!!!!!!

I failed Satch Boogie =(. 3rd song I cant do on WT, 1st was B.Y.O.B. (I cant get the rhythm down) and 2nd was Hot for Teacher

So far ive passed career on hard, and my only songs left on Expert are those three. Also got a FC on that song by Interpol, and on What I've Done.

I stayed up from 2pm-2am playing WT with no break except for dinner and to go grab some Mountain Dews. My fingers hurt.

the GHWT drums dont work with RB

IBitePrettyHard disagrees with you.

Edit: Apparently BBCode hates me right now... I did not have quotes around the stupid link, and have no idea why it put them there.

Did Cult of Personality, Cliffs of Dover and Number of the Beast on Expert! Now just Raining Blood, One and Lou Battle XD

Help for RaBl and One?

About the only advice I can give you is for One, as I haven't passed Raining Blood.

Learn the Darkness Riff and get consistent. You'll want to hit the star power phrases in there. They help. Also, get acquainted with Fast Solo A. Once you reach that part of the song, start trying to keep up with it, alt-strumming throughout. Once you're in the low yellow, activate star power, then just hope you stay alive throughout the triplets with star power still activated. The strumming at the end of FSA should give you a good cushion in your rock meter. From there until the Darkness Riff returns, you might need a bit of luck, but it all gets easier after FSA.

That's what I did, and I managed to 4-star it first run (not a sightread, as I'd seen the chart in many videos before).

If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

One, I'm assuming the only part you're having trouble with is FSA (I would hope so, the rest of the song is cake.), all you have to do is save star power for the it, and use it as soon as you get into the red, I'm pretty sure 2 SP phrases lasts for the entire FSA, but I can't remember. For Raining Blood, if you can't combo Mosh 1 you have to get the two star power phrases before it, no matter what. The gallops you can hit with a constant strum, just keep trying different speeds, it's a lot slower then you would expect. I never had any trouble passing Flood! so I can't really help you there.

I went to another RB2 tournament yesterday, and I Did It 4 Teh Lulz got revenge on everyone for not making the finals last time! We came with a new drummer and I moved to bass, and ended up tying for 2nd/3rd, so we all got $20, not bad for getting to play Rock Band 2 from 12-9pm  While I was there, I got to try out the Ion kit. In short it was epic, but theres no way I'm spending $300 on it, since I heard it sucks as an actual E-Kit. The best part about the tournament though, was our singer. If you don't go on ScoreHero you won't care, but my band went without a vocalist, hoping to pick one up there, and we picked up BriGuy! He's actually really good at vocals (FC'ed a few songs, got 97%-99% on a lot), but nobody knows that because he doesn't submit scores. He also had his guitar, The One, if you don't know what it is look it up, and it was amazing. He gave me tips on how to improve my SG (which everyone asked me about! It was so cool), and he's a really great guy.

EDIT: LOL. Ninja'd ftl

I can't give you help for One, its the only song I can't beat in career. However, for Raining Blood first practive Mosh 1 on hard until you can FC it or at least miss very few nots at all. Then, when you move up to expert, you should be at least a little better at Mosh 1. At least, that's what happened for me, and I passed Raining Blood on my 3rd try ever (though I havent passed it ever again since then so I mght have just gotten really lucky :twss: )

Wow, Jaziek. I love you, I just found this in someones sig on scorehero

I can just picture like 20 or so SH users walking into some random bar where a guy is showing off his "mad skillz" on hard or something, then they all kind of part into 2, and from the back of our group you get Chris or HA or someone dramatically walking to the front, and then he just sticks out his arm, and a lackey gives him his guitar, and some serious guitar hero asskickery ensues.

And then all the lower ranked people are like.. oh yeah.. you sure showed them. We're scorehero, we kick so much [wagon], dont you mess with us or we'll get the Chike to [bleep] you up so bad, and Chris is like "Meh.. only 987k.. could've squeezed better."
