Maleficus1055
So are the [garden tool]/POs like GH3 or Aero (big timing window or have to hit it right?) for World Tour Tumblr. Follow me!
Da Pirates
I'mstill pissed that my explorer wont downstrum, I opened it up and a small white rectangular piece below the strum bar is broken. Idk how to fix it. I had to unscrew a circuit board to open it, and now I can screw it back, the thing on the nail for the screwdriver to catch got messed up. So now there is a gaping hole in the side of the guitar :? 20 bucks well spent :x I only had it for 4 days, also :x BR BR BR? bladeswin
Played it at my friend's house and...meh. The timing window is closer to Aerosmith than GH3 for HOPOs, and I think the tapping sections were really weird. The song list is ok, but, as for the hardware, everything has been rock solid. Pros: Character and Guitar curstomization, some pretty good songs, can do full band. Cons: Timing window is different from other GH games, but easy to get used to. Annoying transitions from normal to tap sections. Overall: OK game, worth buying. i r tink tht a11 ppl shud use g00d gr@m3r since g00d gr@m3r is ftw. justcallmedaddy
I'm selling my PS3 to get the GH:WT band bundle  I'll re-buy a PS3 around Christmas. No way can I wait 'till Christmas for GH:WT. EDIT: Does anyone know how to fix this? [hide=][/hide] Watched that video and HOT DAMN I'm impressed. Edit: Do you ever make money doing that? Nom
Hot for Teacher took me a few tries to pass on guitar. The slide intro is pretty insane. I have no idea how I'll make it through Satch Boogie, which is basically the HfT intro x5. Actually I think I do. Wild tapping ftw. I love those slide sections, but I never use the touch pad for them. The normal buttons work just as well, and I can't figure out how to slide on the pad effectively so I don't use it. But it's great that you don't even have to strum the first note to get a combo going. Demolition Man has some pretty sweet slide trills. Oh, and I five-starred Re-Education (Through Labor) but none of the other songs in that set  That is going to be a challenge.
runescapeloser22
I'm getting the World Tour game only for the Wii (if you saw my last post you know what I'm talking about), because my parents won't let me get another game until they see I did good on my report card, which is get in like December or something  I'll only be able to play guitar, since I don't have Wii drums, and if I can figure out how to plug USB mics into my wii, I can do some singing. Anybody know how?

bongo_man
So it turns out the GH tourney my school is holding is really just a lottery draw, where you pay $1 dollar to play and you receive a ballot which goes into the box to draw the winner for the PS3. Although I anticipated for it to be GH3, it's GH2, which is fine but I was really rusty so I actually ended up losing all my 3 matches -.- My first match was nerve-breaking because everyone expected me to wreck the other guy, who was last years winner by the way. He chose Hangar 18, and luckily I knew the solos relatively well (and by that I mean solos 1a-6, lol)so it wasn't that bad of a match. Unfortunately I had a LOT of stupid mistakes (e.g., overstrum in the intro, LOL), mainly missing some of the easy SP phrases. Anywho, the final score was 234k for me and 235k for him, it was really fun at the end because he was flailing in Solo 9 but I actually managed to combo half of it but I lost grip of the strumbar in the outro and ended up losing :( . It was fun, but I definitely could've done much better. My second and third match was with a freshman (just as I predicted ;) ) who was a formidable opponent. He chose Jordan (by request of the audience), and I thought that I would actually win this one since I highly doubted he would be able to tap Solo B and C. But yet again, my time away from GH2 caused me to miss in the verse about 3 times, while he maintained a combo until the second chorus. I bombed the Break, but he actually managed to get a 3x multiplier by Solo A. We both messed up the triplets, and just as I thought he wasn't able to tap Solo B (thank God...) and I did relatively well in Solo C but I idiotically activated SP near the end and skipped the SP phrase in the 'blue note of freedom'. We both FC'd Solo D and E, and I combo'd the first part of F but then flailed from there onwards while he maintained a 3x by the time we got to the Bridge. I actually could've made a comeback at this point if I had managed to hit the Bridge, but unfortunately I failed miserably, and at the end of the song the score was 207k to 222k. Once again, it was a good fun match, but I know I could've done much better...ah well, what can ya do? We both had 1 more play left, and I chose Beast and the Harlot, thinking that he would be inept at the verse riff. Long story short, we both messed up the verse riff as well as the solos, but yet again I ended up losing 334k to about 358k. So today wasn't my day, but I'll probably pop in GH2 sometime tonight and screw around with a few solos. I'll be sure to inform you of how tomorrow goes :) [If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.]
Nom
That the final set? (Not the one with Satch Boogie) I believe I 5 starred it on sightread, or atleast most of it :S Can probably 5* the songs I haven't done yet once I replay it. Yeah, with Trapped Under Ice and Scream Aim Fire and Overkill and BYOB and whatever else. It's the strumming patterns that kill me on sightreads. I think I 4-starred TUI and maybe Overkill. The final final set I think is easier to 5-star. Pull Me Under is boring as hell for the most part, and throws in some fast solos every two minutes. I was screwing up massively on the intro to Never To Late during band play, so I haven't seen the rest of the chart. Love Spreads is just really easy. And I forget the others (besides SB.) Oh, and taking off hyperspeed makes band play 1000x easier.
runescapeloser22
GH2 is so hard compared to GH3. The timing window is a ton smaller, and I hate how the notes look, it messes me up so much. I would still probably place in a school tournament, except I would never come in first because my friend can get 750k on TTFAF and can FC Afterlife Solo D consistently, he would have the FC but he sucks at getting into the tapping position during a real run. SaidinWoT
Been playing GH:80's just because my rank was horrible on it and just because I can... 12 reduxes so far, leaving 18 to go ;) Rank has jumped by 550 to top 500 in two days :) FCs: [hide=We Got The Beat][/hide][hide=I Ran (So Far Away)][/hide][hide=Heat of the Moment][/hide][hide=Turning Japanese][/hide][hide=The Warrior][/hide][hide=What I Like About You][/hide][hide=Only A Lad][/hide][hide=Lonely is the Night][/hide][hide=Los Angeles][/hide] Non-FCs: [hide=Because, It's Midnite][/hide][hide=Ballroom Blitz][/hide][hide=Electric Eye][/hide] Since I sightread FCed Shakin', this means I have 2 FCs in each tier except the last (which is the only tier where all the songs are genuinely on par with their tier level). I suck at squeezing non-GH3 games... runescapeloser22
World Tour is much better then I expected (YES!). First off, does anybody know how to get a transparent fret board while playing in Quickplay? Because when I first tried BYOB bass, I got a purple fret board, and it was impossible to see the open notes. And since I'm not keeping it for the Wii, I decided I don't want to get far in career, then have to re-do it on the 360. I've only played 5 songs, and they have been really fun. I failed Satch Boogie on my sightread (first song I played on WT, so I wasn't used to the [garden tool]/POs), and haven't had a chance to try again. But I four starred Hot For Teacher, the intro is really fun, I combod most of it. And then I almost FCed Mr Crowley, I got 99%, and it's my favorite song. Now for the cons, the multiplier is really hard to see, and the note streak is almost impossible. I wish they had kept the old song list menu, or something similar, because the new one is really annoying. I'm sure I'll find more things I like/dislike as I play more, but my first impression was very good.
Diesel
My red drum broke already while NOM and I were playing. Thank goodness for the warranty plan. Got a new set free. I agree with runescapeloser that the multiplier is annoying to keep track of. I've missed a few notes while trying to glance over at it. Another thing that I'm not a fan of is where the starpower is displayed. I find it hard to see if you have starpower or not. Other than that, I really like it. I've already downloaded 3 of the 4 free dlc for Wii. I'll probably have to get an SD card soon since my Wii doesn't have many blocks left on it. I'm just thankful that I can actually have dlc... Nom
Lol, five-starred everything in the Satch Boogie set except Weapon of Choice, which has some really annoying green sustain + orange notes (and then other notes) and Satch Boogie, which I failed on just short of the end of solo F. The really really long slide section. Yeah. I actually used the touch pad on it, and it's a lot easier doing it that way.
bongo_man
So ironically enough, it was GH3 being played today rather than GH2 (which was allegedly going to be the only version of GH played). I was looking to redeem myself, so I was actually quite happy that I got to play GH3 since I'm familiar with all the songs and can play them adequately. It was fun because the organizers were having trouble with the projector which the game was being displayed on, and so the screen was green the whole time we were playing. It was basically like being under starpower (except green rather than blue ;) ) all the time since you couldn't see the note colours; even when star power was activated it was still green . Anyways, my first matchup was against a sophmore which I was well acquainted with. Unfortunately since the organizers also forgot to put in the memory card for the game we were forced to choose songs out of tiers 1 and 2 only--excluding the encore songs. I decided to pick Hit Me With Your Best Shot since it was the most fun out of the eight songs. My opponent had broken his combo early and in Verse 2 (the HOPO part), and I managed to keep a combo up until the end of Solo B in the strumming...After that I combo'd until the end while he missed about two times after that, and the final score resulted in a win for me by about 20k points. I was pretty disappointed because I know I can FC that song easily and it would've been cool to be the first person in the draw to get 100% on a song, but I guess I just can't do it on command...oh well... In my second and final match the organizers had put in the memory card, which allowed us to choose from all 70 songs. I chose Take This Life, and my opponent apparently had never played on Expert as he was flailing madly at the frets and strumming wildy at the trills while I managed to combo up until the first Chorus. After that I just took off, which was a cue for my friends to start messing with me by trying to grab the guitar from me and pulling my chair  . I didn't really care as the match was pretty much over, and I still managed to pull off a fair 474k while my opponent got somewhere under 150k. Overall this day was better than yesterday (obviously...), but I was hoping for the last years winner and that freshman kid who both beat me in GH2 to return so I could have my revenge! Ah well, maybe tomorrow. Also, if all goes well I might be getting GH:WT sometime this weekend  [If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.]

It's not that RB's charting is correct, it's just that I see it as GH is overcharted and RB is undercharted. Actually, it's the opposite here. It really under charted in WT. The blue holds, are so obviously YB trills that it makes me angry. Also the "breakdown" (you know what I'm talking about) is very under charted. Also for some reason I can five star this song in Rock Band, but I almost failed it at one point in WT and barely four starred it. There are so many less notes in the main part (the RR B RR O RR B RR O part) then in Rock Band, that I was overstrumming an insane amount. I could seriously downstrum the entire song in WT, that's how under charted it is.
Nom
WT has some really wierd charts, to be sure. I swear Santeria's solo is way overcharted. And Ramblin' Man is either massively undercharted or the RB chart is overcharted, I can't decide. WT feels a bit more accurate, but w/e.

The Rock Band chart is overcharted for Ramblin' Man, but it is one of the most fun songs on RB ;) I think WT has this more accurately charted. I think Santeria's solo is fine, it's so easy anyway I don't see whats bothering you. Unless your thinking of something else.
