June 2, 200719 yr Thats what runescape is, a competition for bragging rights. Although many will deny it, and im expecting cliche responses, many players play to advance, and feel a sense of accomplishment. Players want this accomplishment to be seen and heard outside themselves, so they gain an even bigger sense of accomplishment. That's the essence of runescape, and the reason its such a fantastically designed game.
June 2, 200719 yr I have a thread with over 5k views and yet I choose not to brag about it. I noticed the very same thing yesterday that you've just mentioned. I see one thread in particular that is updated very regularly just to show how many views it has. I mean.. why mention it in the title when you can just look to the right and see how many views it has gotten. I will make an exception for the one that has 100k views.. that's an accomplishment there in itself. ~Lunar Retired Tip.It Mod || Admin and Founder of Caesar 3 Mod Squad! All are welcome!

June 2, 200719 yr its annoying so your gonna come here and post a new thread telling everyone how annoyed you are? Yeah SOME people find it annoying, some people dont. Some people find... oh I dont know, people posting what they think when not everyone cares annoying... but do you see those people going off to spam the new thread button posting "I hate people that complain about other people". NO! Learn to let go, yeah you hate it, just ignore the threads that say ZOMFG NFW GO ME! 189274 POSTS and 1231874834 VIEWS!!! Complaining here is not gonna change it, deal with it.
June 2, 200719 yr Author This is not complaining or saying I hate it. It is called a discussion, perhaps when you learn the meaning of that you could make a more justified contribution. June 2, 200719 yr Okay, okay, that's enough :shame: We don't want this to take off and become a flame war. Some of us do! Anyways, I hate it when people look at your stats just to brag, ask your lvl just to brag etc, I hate it... The people that put the amount of views in the name of the topic, I don't hate. I do find it kind of sad, but if they feel they've accomplished something, good for them, let them be happy about it. As long as they don't go posting on other topics that they are better because of the amount of views I don't mind. Thats what runescape is, a competition for bragging rights. That's the essence of runescape, and the reason its such a fantastically designed game. Yup, I also believe this is one of, if not the biggest reason people play this game. But that doesn't mean it's normal to brag about everything, I don't. O:) I mean, it's true that the sense of accomplishment is nice, but I don't brag about my lvls or completed quests. Most of my real-life friends that played have quit, so I have no reason to brag to them. I don't really socialize with people at training spots, so there isn't even a lot of opportunity for me to brag. If some random person were to comment nicely about a lvl I have, I would feel proud, but I don't start boasting about my lvls to people.
