if you are getin more ores just keep goin till he decides its no ues to him to only get a few. if hes getting more it would probably be better for you to hop since he has the right to hog rocks seeing as jagex doesnt have a cooldown time for mining or a one rock per person rule.

sadly enough, im way too stubborn to try and let someone take my rocks. 5 levels higher or not, i WILL challenge that person

if i switch worlds, that only makes him think he's better than me and he's probably not anyways. i always will strive to be better than someone that challenges me. its just my personality. im very competitive. i would mine day and night just to prove to that sonofa[bleep] that im better than him. doesnt matter if its runescape. im...better. bottom line

im in a fletching race because someone challenged me that had 92 fletching. at the time, i had 82. i said i could beat him to 99. he is at 93. i just hit 90

wow, as long as you're not the type who gets too competitive i.e. curses when loses, is a jack [wagon] when you win.

Well, I wouldn't mine in the first place, but if I did and another person comes down there and starts pushing me out, I'd defend the rocks that I had mined of course. Despite the rocks not having my name tag on them written in capital letters, it would still be polite to obey the rule of "who is first, gets the prize". Over a hundred worlds to choose from, why would he argue over a rock, in this world. Why not do it elsewhere, in a maybe less crowded world.

Only when I have realised that he simply wont leave after 5-10 minutes, I'll give in and switch worlds myself. <.<

I would just go to other rocks. There's always enough for two people.

Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, your commodity drops in value.

If it was a noob miner, I'd probably try to mine all the rocks before he could. If he's a more experienced minor than me, I'd say something with a holier-than-thou attitude and hop worlds. (Such as, "Alright, I'll be the better man and switch.")

I'd try to mine the rocks faster than him, in mining 5 lvls is not a big deal, doesn't make a difference hardly. If I succeed, he probably goes away.

If not I world hop or do something else, mining is boring.

To be honest, I would just stay there and completely ignore him. I do that while hunting and I've never had someone attempt to stay at the same place as me for more then 5 minutes without him hopping.

Exactly. If he was beating you heaps then sometiems you have no option but to hop worlds. but otherwise concentrate real hard on getting to the rock quickly, to put them off.
