I've been a vegetarian since I had the thought "this hot dog sure is slimy" and although my reasons for sticking to it have changed I haven't really touched meat since then. I can't offer any sort of comparison since I stopped eating meat at such a young age but I will say that I am and have always been a healthy, strong, and virile male.

As to vegetarians being annoying...

I find many hardcore "live for the cause" organizations annoying. You just have to take information from PETA with a grain of salt. On top of that, I find that alot of what kids (9-15) say annoying*.

*including things said and done by myself at that age

I'm fine with vegetarians. I could never be one, though. Meat is just so good...especially steak.

If a vegetarian says we weren't meant to eat animals, ask them what our pointed teeth are for.

I'm NOT Vegetarian and probably never will be. :P Just because I believe that humans were meant to be omnivores, meaning they eat everything including meat.

I don't have any problems with Vegetarians unless they try to shove their views down other people's throats. Then they get annoying. :P But, if you just don't want to eat meat anymore, then don't eat meat anymore. :D

I saw a book in the library vegitarianism(sp?) for dumbies you might wanna get.

I dont hate all vegitarians, just the ones who preach about it or say something like "i haven't eaten meat in 7 months" i mean i havent eaten a carrot in like 2 years but i dont go around bragging about it. and for the people who don't eat meat cause god created animals, if he didnt want us to eat them, they wouldnt be made of meat.

people are made of meat...

Mmm.....people

I could never be a vegetarian. I love hamburgers. <3:

People need to stop using the "We weren't meant to eat meat!" argument. I really want to know how the hell they figure that one out, anyways. A quick look at our teeth tells us that we WERE. Evolution or Devine Creation, it doesn't matter. Animals (humans included) with sharp canines and molars eat meat. Animals who do not have such teeth do not. This is true 100% of the time and is non-changing, so either way, we WERE meant to eat it.

The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past.

I feel that animals were not meant to be eaten, but it is delicious, although I'm not vegetarian, I wont eat any 'cruel' meat. Eg, bacon ::'

I dont need a siggy no moar.

I still don't quite understand that, sorry. To give you a scientific perspective our teeth and gut are not the kind we see in purely herbivorous animals. We are omnivores. We can argue what we believe is right or wrong but the way the human body has evolved or is 'designed,' if you prefer, isn't arguable.

You don't have to either be a meat eater or vegetarian. Just only eat the stuff you like and if it happens to be meat then so be it. If you like bacon sandwiches then eat a bacon sandwich don't just not eat meat full stop because you want to be a vegetarian. Eating a balanced diet is the key to a healthy life and while you can get lots of good meat substitutes you really cant beat a bit of fish and some beef protein. I eat a log of foods with no meat it in and there's some really amazing vegetarian dishes out there but I could never completely replace my meat with a substitutes, some of it just looks and takes like a cardboard turd.

Vegetarians are not happy people instead are deeply insecure and troubled

I think what you meant to say was "I believe, vegetarians to be unhappy and deeply insecure people who seem troubled".

Be careful with opinions and facts here...

However, on topic if you have any steak, bacon, snags etc left over, just send them my way.

I'll be happy to hold a carnivfest at my place, byo hehe

Also I want to add that [perhaps the reason why you've been going off meat recently is because you've been on the skimp and getting all your food from a large supermarket. Go to a real butchers, farmers market or a farm shop (probably not many around in brummy like there are in the west country but worth a look) and get some quality organic and local meat. I had the most amazing steak only a few weeks ago which I got from the butchers it was wonderfully thick and the knife just went thru it like butter and it tasted so great. Dont be tempted by the pork sausages for less than a quid and go to the butchers and get some meaty Lincolnshire's or something. Beautiful. Its local and quality meat that turned my friend back from a veggie into a meat eater again, its ethical and tastes delicious. Why eat skanky quorn sausages which taste like the box of a cereal packet when you can help your local economy and eat some tasty local food produced in a much more ethical way (save the slaughter of the animal, and even then will be done better than the way Tesco Value chickens are reared and killed for example).

HOW can you live without meat? You can't, living off vegetables means only one thing, a nasty nasty death because humans were meant to eat meat. Vegetarians are not happy people instead are deeply insecure and troubled, please I advice you to seek out a psychiatrist your genes are faulty.

You're joking, right? Vegetarians don't always suffer nasty, nasty deaths nor are humans meant to purely eat meat. We are omnivores. I'm sure there are some very happy vegetarians out there too.

Yeah.. must be a joke.

Edit: Here's a little food for thought.

Did you know that last year 12,000 people ended up in hospital due to accidents involving vegetables? No you didn't because you're to narrow minded to appreciate facts, now stop being immature noobface.

According to you, he's to narrow minded to appreciate facts. According to me, you're just too ignorant to respect other people's lifestyles and opinions. I'm purely against vegitarianism..but you don't have to treat them that way.

So how do you reckon household accidents involving vegetables is a fact relevant to your previous statement regarding vegetarianism, or vegetarianism in general?

Because the definition of Vegetarianism is someone who only eats vegetables, therefore how can you say that these "accidents" (you can say they're accidents but I don't think so) are irrelevant to Vegetarians. The more vegetables you eat obviously the more chance you have of having to go to hosptial (as those 12,000 people found out).

Definitely, 99% of the beef I eat comes from the ranch I live on and is prepared locally, and I have to say it's some of the best stuff I've had compared to what you'll get in the average restaurant or supermarket. Now if we only raised our own bacon.... I mean pigs! >.>

Well I have 3 friends who don't eat meat cause they plain just don't care for the taste but its not because they know its from an animal, and I have another friend who doesn't eat meat because she is all " th3y d0 b4d 5t0ff t0 th3 4n1m4l5".

I personally believe its the food chain, we just happen to be at the peak.

And it might be because you don't like the preparation of the meat anymore? I don't eat anything that is made in a restaurant and I want it from scratch, you could just be turning into a pickie eater like me.

Who has heard of Herbivorism? People who refuse to eat fruit, salade, vegetables because they also consider it as an alive being.

Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.

Because the definition of Vegetarianism is someone who only eats vegetables(think twice before you speak), therefore how can you say that these "accidents" (you can say they're accidents but I don't think so) are irrelevant to Vegetarians. Striker, you're a bigot, and that site you showed everyone about people being hospitalized for consuming vegetables is more or less not credible, and if your being hospitalized for it, its probably because you either choked on it, or are allergic to it. both of which can happen if you eat meat (the website is also lacking sources). Not to mention more people are probably hospitalized due to undercooked meat every year. By the way, vegetarians do not only eat veggies... Get your facts straight... haha :XD: I laugh at you. I suggest you read the definitions below. Included with the definition is a layman's term just for you.
