Respected Member

Well, a lot of things between members and f2p are different and f2pers are asking for a lot of things now. So I figured, why not bridge? I was thinking that since macros last 1 month, and most f2p's play for about 6 months plus, why not have a "respected member" position?

FAQ to explain

Q: What does that mean?

A: After 6 months without black marks, or 12 months, an f2p player gets upgraded to "respected member". This members ship gives 2 pages of bank space, avaiblity to a larger world extending into the member world, and are able to do some member things.

Q: Then noone would go p2p!

A: f2p is still f2p, the respected member would not get member skills, or be able to access a majority of the member world. They also could possibly have their own server.

Q: Then f2p would ask for more things right?

A: No, I doubt f2p would ask for much more. Sure some people would ask for things, but epople are always wanting more, get used to it.

Q: What requirements would there be?

A: A total level over 400, have been playing 6 months without black marks, or has been playing for 12 months or more, has not recieved blackmarks within the past 3 months.

Ask more questions and I'll add them to the FAQ, also discuss the idea. I think it would solve many problems.

I don't like it... especially as my pristine image is tarnished with a black mark for asking someone's age...

They changed the rules... you can now ask someone their age.. my black mark exists though...

So on that note.. I don't like it. #-o :anxious:

A total level of 400? That really isn't that hard. I'm thinking 800 or 900+.

Since this is a suggestion, I don't support. I just don't think it will happen.

Wow hey I have 810 total after 3 years (I kinda just looked around runescape the first 2 years)

Actually forget that 800 total is easy to get, when I started training I got to 800 in 5 months. And I like the idea, you get a taste of membership, so you can only imagine what members can do. Sounds to me like a good marketing move. Good show lad!

I don't...*farts*...like the idea at all. :notalk:

FAQ to explain

Q: Why =P~

A: It's daft <.<

Q: Are the requirements fair though? =P~

A: Of course not. If you're f2p, you should be able to access members by paying $5 (̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã3.20) per month like the rest of us. <.<

Q: Well, what's the incentive for avoiding black marks then? :-k

A: So that you don't get banned, you ninny!

::'

That's stupid. It seems you don't understand the concept of a demo. You see, F2p is a demonstration of the game that they want you to buy. Now, as you can already see, it is a very generous demonstration. So why would they give you anymore for free, when you have been using there game for free for that long? Thats like giving someone who has been unemployed for a year a raise in their welfare.

Nice as this idea sounds, F2Pers still wouldn't be satisfied. No offense n F2Pers, but they'd just start complaining that they need other things, like the Duel Arena etc.

As for the blackmarks... well that problem could be easily solved if Jagex gave you the opportunity to appeal using more than 400 words and gave more than 30 seconds time per report.

f2p is the demo

No. P2p is the expansion.

I don't like this idea. F2p and P2p don't need something to abridge the gap, just no. If a good part of members was added to respected f2p, some members could actually go to be respected f2p and Jagex would lose money.

I like it :). My idea to this below. Take anything.

[hide=my idea]

To get in:

700 Total with 20 qp.

Been playing for a year

X amount of hours online

0 black marks

If you have a black mark currently before this update you have to wait a year before you get in. If you wait the year without getting a black mark your in. But if you get another mark you lose the privilege.

That will stop most rule breakers in f2p. After they see what they get.

What they get:

Wcing guild!

8 Rows of bank space

Taverly mine to the games room!

(nothing past white wolf mountain and troll path)

New servers for them

And a few more quests for them. (witches house and whatever that want to make for them)

Pros

Stops f2p rule breaking other than autoers.

Make them skill, play, be good

Get away from autoers

Finally they can cut yews in peace!

Cons

They might want more :|

Less members

Less focus from members[/hide]

Quit RuneScape :)

i dont think this is a good idea and im not even a member! f2p players are never EVER happy with jagex updates or that we dont get anything new, and if you just give them just a little leverage they will probably keep demanding more and more until everyone is a member! trust me people are way too demanding
