5k tokens,3 sets of addy and i still wont go higher than black :evil:.what a waste of time it is for me

it took me 7k tokens to get rune

I personally don't see why everybody says it's hard to get one. I have 22 in my bank right now, took me no time at all.

Yeah, you got lucky man. I've read on the rants forum about people not getting bronze after like 1k tokens. Lol, you also didn't have to deal with 50 people there killing cyclops. It took me about 5-7 hours on day 1 to get my rune def. About 50 people on every world with most people using mage or range to ensure a cyclops kill.

Congrats! You definatley got way lucky! I used about 3k tokens to get my first rune defender. I did get another right after that though :lol: 3k tokens isn't as much as some people have used but, it seemed like it took more time than it actually did.

You got amazingly lucky. Took me about 5k tokens.

You'd think RoW would decrease your chance as a defender's shop price is worth like 2 gp. Anyways, yeah you got lucky.

If you complete Tarn's Lair and use his diary on the amulet, you get +20% attack and strength on the undead, even when not on task, making it better than black mask.

 

 

 

Yeah if you do the minigame which takes about an extra 10-15 minutes it will be +20% which works on all undead monsters. This includes aberrants which you cant exactly wear black mask for. (Of course if you really want to wear mask make sure to invite me).

took me 500 tokens for bronze 100 for iron like 70 for steel 200 mith 50 addy and about 300 rune -.- alot of mithril sets killing

yea,u got lucky but it wasn't for your old bones (the RS goddess of luck was less generous with this old dude :( )

ye,+15% attack & str though,unlike the mask, u dont have to be on task for the effect.

 

 

 

You just have to be fighting the undead. Fighting abberants with a black mask on doesnt work too well, so the salve is a good replacement.

Bronze took 2 hours, then iron in 5 minutes, then steel in 30 minutes, then black in 20 minutes, then mithril in 3 hours, then addy in 5 minutes, then rune in 3 minutes.

 

 

 

Just seems like a very wide distribution span. Seems way too big for normal distribution ("normal" distribution is what you get with a "fixed" random size (e.g. always a 1/100 drop chance). Maybe the random size itself is floating (sometimes it's 1/10, sometimes its 1/1000).

 

 

 

Now that I got rune def, when I wear my combat training/PC gear (which means an all-for-offense gear but with NO degradable equipment (barrows/crystal/etc) or temporary boosts (prayer/pots/etc) of any kind), it adds up to +127 slash damage and +112 strength. Can anyone beat that?.

Killing aberrant specters without the nosepeg is possible.(.if you master the safespot)yes, there IS one.

The first time I got rune defender, it took about two hours, but I got 2 drops in a row. The second time I went through it it took 4 hours :( but I went addy-rune back to back ^_^

I did it the day it came out, and it only took me 30 minutes then. I used ROW only after possessing the Mithril Defender. But even then, there were people around me yelling about how they've been there for hours, and what not. So, I suppose they haven't tweeked it since, I guess you and I just got lucky.
