Macroer solution that might actually work!

Recommended Posts

Change yew trees so that they have a required total level! It will make it harder for macroers as they only focus on one skill only. It won't hurt skillers or normal players because they train other skills anyway. I need suggestions on total level requiremets. Maybe 700? It will make it harder for macroers to get at the yews because they will have to train all of their skills. 500 seems pretty good now. What do you guys think?

I'm still open on suggestions for the total level requirement. Is 500 a bit better?

Afterall we can't make it too low because the lower it is, the more autoers there will be.

yeah, 500 is a bit better, but macros are tough, and they would still try to auto, but once they start losing accounts with 500 total, they may decide its too long to get 500 to cut yews, so in some ways it would help, but there is always a few people who will continue, no matter what JAGex does

so i support.

I still think a few j mods should run to every yew tree and give IP bans to everyone thats autoing, but thats just me ::'

What if I just want to raise my woodcutting level? I don't think it's going to go down well with the level 3 skillers.

And how do we know that these autoers/macroers won't just start autoing their other stats as well? Spreading the disease even further than it already is.. :XD:

Other skills are harder to auto. Maybe we can make it so that you have to be a certain total level to enter an area?

700 seems a bit high, and thats especially high for lv 3 skillers in f2p, they would never be able to cut yews, unless they get every non-cb to incredible high levels

skillers really need to do something with their lives. i really like this idea, i support.

This is really weird, too weird to work imo.

If you do this for woodcutter, you might aswell do it for Rc, fishing, etc. Where are you going to get total lvls if you need total lvls for everything?

I can picture some lvl 50 going "Wtf waht why cant i kill the yew?" Haha would be hilarious.

2480+ total

500 total level, 700 total lv, they are all unrealistic. Let's take a look at the non-members break up of skills...

combat_

Attack

Strength

Defese

hitpoints

Range

Mage

Prayer

Non-combat Non-members

Cooking

Woodcutting

Fishing

Firemaking

Crafting

Smithing

Mining

Runecrafting

If you can count, that's 7 combat skills, and 8 non combat skills...

Since autoers would not train any combat skills, they would have to get an average level of 87.5 for a total lv of 700 to cut yews, and a total level of 62.5 in all non-combat skills to cut yews at a 500 total cap.

Way unrealistic! But it's worse yet! WHY? AUTOERS WOUND NOT TRAIN;

Crafting, firemaking, Cooking, and runecrafting! So it is imposible for them to get by, but so is it for regular f2pers! Most poeple never train their prayer, and may train only their range, defense, and hitpoints out of the combat skills, and only a couple of the non-combat skills! This idea is soooo horible, that I can barely describe it; Autoers ARE going away, what with the reluctance of people to buy gold now, and when I buy yew logs now to train fletching, I often buy them in 50's and 100's from regular players.

Now, say, if you put the maximum at 250, this would perhaps be better, but only if people regularly banned autoers.

That's what it takes to be a hero, a little gem

of innocence inside of you that makes you want

to believe that there still exists a right and wrong,

that decency will somehow triumph in the end.

I disagree with your choice of words. I am now 100% Pure Skiller. Pure Skillers do NOT have to change what they do!

Some people don't train prayer! Or farming! (Etc) Pure skillers have a choice on what to train, and what to do. They are human, unlike your selfish idioticy*

Prayer raises combat level. #-o
No it doesn't. My skiller has 5 prayer, no combat level higher than 3 =]

Really? :uhh:

Seems like the tip.it calculator wasn't right. So yeah, another pray level would definitely be level 4 combat.
