How safe is your method of making gp?

Well, autoers are getting more and more advanced as time goes by, and who knows what they could get smart enough to do. Maybe even learning to run out to Rune ores and world hop. This is just a discussion of the general safe ways of making money other than Merchanting, and the reasons why.

 

 

 

Skill: Mining

 

Item: Higher level ores.

 

Why? Mithril, Adamantite, and Runite ores are all very scare in free world, and where they are it is very dangerous to go mine them. Also it is very hard to even get up to 70 or 85 mining.

i make my nats. and buy yew long as cheap as i can. up 50gp per alch=D

 

 

 

after this turn. i will get 70 fletch. and get yew logs and flax. buy nats. i will make the flax to bs. then mae yew longs and alch them. around 37+ each alch=D and alch 3k at a time make good cash=D

ups. my method is vary safe i think. but if auto get taken out of game i may find a new way of training=/

I make most of my money from slaying and treasure trials

 

 

 

I recon that's pretty safe from autoers since they don't venture into slaying monsters, their accounts never last long enough to reach a good slaying level.

I think barrows is pretty safe. Barrows is incredibly unpredictable, especially with the tunnel, never knowing which door it will be, especially being under attack the whole time. The only thing endangering my way of making money is... Merchants. :x

Doubling nats will always make money b/c nats are never going to fall to like 80-90 each so you'll always make double whatever you put out now it's almost 6 times what you pay for essence.

Runite mining will still be quite safe in f2p, as runite pkers will remain, so they will kill off anyone, autoer or not. I don't think that any autoer could, however, even remotely get close to the true profit runite mining can bring. In f2p at least.

I've been so busy trying to finish all the quests (16 left!) that I haven't made money for a quite a while..

 

Typically I seem to just make my money through luck, Nature runes in the Abyss or Air runes using the altar (good seeing as I make 7 per

 

Essence).

 

 

 

It does sadden me that I've seen 5 Nature rune bots in the last 2 days..

MTKing coal.

 

 

 

Is guaranteed profit as long as Coal-prizes don't drop below 85 gp apiece. And currently, I can sell them for 180-200 each. It's around 300-400k a week. Slow but requires minimal effort from my side.

i fletch and kq....so far neither have been doing to well #-o

 

 

 

all the prices in fletching seem to be rising, while the final price for yew longs is dropping :(

 

with a little effort i earn 1 mil for every 5mil i spend on supplies....which isnt great....

 

 

 

and as for the kq, 150 trips, no chain, and i expect the price of chains to drop....sooooo :-k

 

perhaps its time to find something else :P

i barrow, and i think its pretty safe, if you know what your doing. i thought that until i got red-barred fighting guthan, in 3 hits, because i ran out of prayer and was writing a pm and thought i could finish it. well didnt finish the pm, good thing i had my invy open to eat like crazy then drink a dose of prayer potion :lol: . but other than that i've only died once in about 100 runs(and dont plan to die again :P )

My money making methods are quite safe. Barrows, slayer, rune mining, and runecrafting are my main ones, though being mostly self-sufficient, money isn't usually a problem.

 

 

 

My emergency money making method, however, is perfectly safe: battlestaving. Since none of it involves buying or selling with other players, there's no way the market can ruin it.

Well I have some money making ways that are not very common...

 

 

 

1) Pking. Usually a reliable way of making money, and it would actually be benificial for autoers/gold farmers to make auto pkers, this equals more profit for me :)

 

 

 

2) MTA (Mage Training Arena). Good mage xp and quite complicated and not used very often. I earn good cash as long as the infinity market stays balanced. And I don't see it crashing due to autoers any time soon.

Hunting red chins (250k/hr), or catching dragon implings (varies between 150k-1M/hr). Macros could do both of them and potentially destroy my earning ability ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ but I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d shift to doing something else. Cash is not something I need a whole lot of, so only do the above when my supplies run low.

Too late. A simple autoer that I know of is capable of doing that, [if somebody made it]. It is at the moment capable of switching through worlds buying the runes that you want from any rune shop until [YOURAMOUNT] runes are left

Well first I plant my herbs(and other crops for the extra farming xp), then I get to work on chopping yews, making nats, or buying bowstrings. Then I start on making yew longs(occasionally planting a new herb, always ranarr or irit). Then I alch all my yew longs that I've made for a good healthy profit. When the alching is done I take all the herbs I've farmed and make them into p pots (to use for barrowing or sell for some quick cash) and super atts for use in slayer and other combat related activities. 8-)

 

 

 

So to be honest my method is pretty safe being as even if you remove the potion making from the equation I'll always make a profit fletching/alching(unless BS prices shoot through the roof) because I'm not selling my stuff to anyone.

Sounds interesting, but these days how many people really speak Pirate?
