The very first thing I did when I became a member was buy a team 22 cape, it cost me 10k because I so wanted to get out of the dumb yellow F2P cape. But I suppose it was worth it because I have worn the kind of cape ever since then. The reason I wanted it so much is a team 22 cape is actully the cross of Saint Andrew. In other words the Scottish Flag.

 

 

 

I have always wondered why it is there is the first place. I have thought to my self why hasn't any English complained about wanting a cape with the cross of Saint George.

 

 

 

I am sure it's just like the other team capes with crosses on them. Just ramdom colours put together but maybe there is some one inside Jagex from Scotland. Who secretly slipped in the cape. :thumbsup:

No Jagex wouldn't make country capes. There would be alot of racism in Runescape if that happened like "I'm not trading with you, your English" or stuff like that. And they would need to make a cape for every single country in the world. That what be a waste.

I suppose the amount of people hating others for their country would increase, people would be saying "but im from venezuela..wheres OUR flag?". Jagex would have to pick the obvious countries like england, france, germany etc and the little ones would be annoyed.

However, I would imagine that Jagex chose the basic design of two diagonal crosses through the cape, then just mixed and matched to get a wide variety of colours to individualise the Wilderness capes.

I acually think country capes would be cool. Would they acually have to make one for every country or would they just do the major ones? I'm thinking since it's their game they can do whatever they want...

 

 

 

Maybe continent capes would be easier, haha. Then again, it sorta ruins the RP aspects of the game.

Well we could always reconcile the 99hp cape with this quote from Q. Elizabeth I: "I know I have the body of a weak and feeble woman but I have the heart and stomach of a King and a King of England too"

 

 

 

But I'm sure at least one of every nation's leaders has a memorable quote involving hearts and perhaps that's the best way to keep it, so that each person wearing their cape does so via a general symbol that means something to them.

 

 

 

Of course I would love a lion and a unicorn cape, but the detail at that size would be mystifying :P

According to Wikipedia there's Vatican+192 States that has been recognised by UN. Have fun adding around 200 capes for this game.

 

 

 

Edit: However I wouldn't see it as an impossible task to give us better ways to modify capes. If we for example could add different colored stripes or crosses to the cape, many flags could be created that way.

For every country in the world, that would be so many capes, can't be done. They could always make the main ones, but then the people whose country is not there would complain :roll:

200 capes wouldn't be that big of an ordeal...but I think it would be cool if you could make you're own custom capes.

How about a set of capes for the Gielinor kingdoms? Like a Faladorian cape, a Kandarinian cape, etc...

we have shields and banners like that, a cape would go well with them.

200 capes wouldn't be that big of an ordeal...but I think it would be cool if you could make you're own custom capes.

 

 

 

In my eyes it would be just a waste of time to design them. I'd rather put a cape designer to the came and let people design their own capes with premade crosses, stripes, colors and symbols. That way racism could be avoided in some cases, many flags could be designed and clans would have more choices for their capes.
