Your RS Skilling Motivation

Featured Replies

I want to be the first in my class to get 90 Construction (and since most of them quit it wont be that hard...)

I wont quit until I achieve something cool (like 99 construction!! )

I just do what i feel like :o

If i wanna relax, i fish, if i wanna kill, i slay, don't need motivation i just, do it lol.

Whenever I see extra gems in my bank, I turn them all into their respective amulets, so I have a quite a collection going by now =P.

Fun. 8-)

Certain skills I really like doing. Like most people who I found at the wilderness course would complain about trying to get 56 for Regicide but after I got 56 I went ahead and got 60 just for the hell of it. I plan on going back to get 70+ sometime but lately I've been doing a lot of CW ect with friends.

Pirate Rosetta stone. Learn a language while you scape.

Sounds interesting, but these days how many people really speak Pirate?

I don't understand how bankspace would be a problem. Ever since I got my poh costume room up I never had a single problem with bankspace. I seen quite a lot of bank pics but always quite a number of clothes, guess that's the reason.

On topic: I skill because I want to see my total lvls being extremely high.

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

I like making Money =D> =D>

Ill Keep that in my mind, in the back of my mind where everything i forgot went.

Self achievement and ability to be able to show it to everyone else too.

I just set myself goals and want to achieve them, no big reason involved.

What motivates me is the thought of having a higher total level than that off a higher combat person who thinks they are so much better than everyone. Also, skilling is fun.

skillcapes, but that isn't enuff to motivate me cuz i always give up

Mostly just because its fun, or for its useful-ness :). I just got 70 Agility, so I could finally get a much easier path to Hellhounds and Blue Dragons. However now I'm getting Gargoyle tasks from Slayer, and I want 71 agility so I can use the second Slayer Tower shortcut. And while I'm getting that I might do some extra on my way to 81, for the Slayer Cave shortcut, and Shortcut to Hellhounds in Taverly Dungeon. And thats just agility .

Mining I got to 85, for rune. Amazing money I must say :D. Then 86 just happened, and now I want 87 for looks.

Farming isn't THAT high, but I use it for herbs, and limps, and I plant in the Allotments just for the exp.

Hunter I honestly find completely useless, and its only where its at, because I wanted all 50+ skills.

I admire high herblore, so I want to keep raising mine, however... I'm short on herbs :(. I never remember to retrieve them from farming :P. So I just might do Throne of Miscellania for that.

Slayer is awsome fun :). I don't really have a goal, not even 85, because its to common. If I ever get 85, I won't stop there I'll keep going. 99 Would be nice :)

I'm not gonna get into EVERY skill , but I think that explains why I like to skill :P. Skilling ftw imo. I like to consider myself a skiller :). 1655+ Total :D.

EDIT: I use WAY to many smilies....

Blakdragon39.png

Hey Horseathlete!! I've seen you around!! HYT!!

I like to skill because skilling makes me a better, more independent person. I don't need to tie myself to the economy to do stuff like fletch and alch. Also, it's better for my money.

Cave Story - Best Free RPG ever

-Retired. Forever-

I raise skills mainly to access certain features of the game. I like to do all quests that open up new areas.

I raise skills so that I can use all raw material in the game. I raised mining and smithing to 85 to use rune ores. I got 84+ crafting for black d hide and now 87+ to make the dorgeshuun lamps.

fletching to make all bows and arrows and then as a source of gp.

96 mage to access all spells.

85 slayer for abyssals and now slowly getting to 90.

70 construction to make gilded altar.

I got 82 thieving to access the yanille dungeon shortcut.

I did raise agility to 67 first to get to Salarin and then to 71 to get past the taverly shortcut. Will eventually get 81 too for the same reason.

68 rc to craft deaths.

still working towards 78 herblore.

and so on ...

85 slayer on 12-18-05 with combat at 102;

retired from members since Feb 06.

Back since June 07. 2000+ total.

being able to make more things makes me get higher levels..

like i got 76fishing/80cooking just so i could do my own sharks..

i like to be self sufficient and get everything i need on my own because than an item becomes disposable.... if i die and lose rune, and i can smith rune, i'm not going to care as much as now where i'd have to spent the $$

Wow - finally started a decent topic!

I also skill to target levels, like all 60+, then 85 fletching etc, but as I said, at this point i am constantly chasing bank space.

Money is not really an issue, as i have more than i need for skilling at the moment. I never want to spend more than 5 mill at a time on a skill otherwise you end up with like 3000+ hides or magic logs or whatever, and i like to pace myself with different skills so no one gets too boring.

BTW - Currently making 500+ anti fires and loving 'make all' potion option.
