Battlestaves (Bought form Zaff's Staff Shop in Varrock, or from Baba Yaga on Lunar Isle.)

NOTE: You'll need as many orbs and staves, and 3 times as many cosmics as orbs.

Making the Staves

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Make your Edgeville, go to the bank and take out your earth staff, equip it. Now, if using glory, equip it. If using Paddewa teleport, get runes for the spell. Withdraw 24 orbs and 72 cosmic runes. If not teleporting, withdraw 27 orbs and 81 cosmic runes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Go south to the dungeon entrance, follow the path on the map above. Beware of Black Demons, Poison Spiders, and Chronozon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Charge your orbs by casting Charge Earth Orb on the Earth Obelisk. It's best to stand behind the obelisk so the spiders and Chronozon can't reach you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Make your back to Edgeville and bank orbs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. Repeat steps 1-4 until out of orbs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6. Use the earth orbs on the plain battlestaves to make earth battlestaves.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

7. High alch earth battlestaves for 9.3k.

Airs are better, but require 66 crafting. The reason is the fact that you don't have to run through the poison spiders every time you go through.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You'll pretty much be found at one point or another when going to earth obelisk, but people will most likely assume you're going to kill demons with mage. A killer comes, but can't find you, so I guess you're safe from pkers.

Waters and fires are better. Same money, easier(especially with 70 or 80 agility), and fires give more exp. Or if you're going to make earths you might as well make airs, same distance more experience.

Fires/Waters are easier? I'm pretty sure its a longer route compared to airs and earths, even with 80 agility. Not to mention you have to run through MULTIPLE dangerous monsters. Hellhounds, poison spiders, blue dragons, demons, etc.

You included how much it is to alch but that really isn't enough. As a battlestaff maker you should know they are quite annoying to make. You have to gather a bucket of sand, one seaweed, use the seaweed on a range, use the bucket of sand and seaweed in a furnace, use a glassblowing pipe to make an uncharged orb, buy the battlestaff(should I mention there are only 5 maxium in a world, which makes buying in the hundreds a huge pain?), charge the orb, attach it to the battlestaff, and finally alch it.

 

 

 

And if you plan on buying the uncharged orb, good luck, it's a rip-off 1k each on the forums and rising. Not only that, the empty battlestaves cost in the thousands, and you need to buy the pure ess to make or buy cosmics, as well as the Paddewa teleport runes.

Tbh, thats more of just something telling me what to do to make money than a guide. You need more pics, and ever thought of using a glory instead of paddwa (sp?)? It's what I do. Also include where to get everything. Not everone knows :anxious:

 

 

 

Some things to include:

- Inventonry/equipped items

 

- Prices to buy nats/cosmics etc. and where to buy them

 

 

 

It needs a bit more work, talk to Da_Latios about it. He's a good friend and knows alot of things about battlestaff crafting.

it depends on how fast u buy ur items i suggest buying the battle staffs at mage guild their 7kea then buying everything else from ppl if u can afford it..and alching the b staffs ain't that bad of a itdea because its fun good mage xp and u'll get the money faster then trying to sell on forums :)

-Seaweed/buckets of sand/soda ash can be bought from charter shops for 5gp ea...easiest is catherby cause its close to bank

 

 

 

-you can also cook the seaweed as you buy them at the range next to catherby bank

 

 

 

-battlestaves can be bought in mage guild and varrock shop...5 per stock..prices are:

 

1-7000

 

2-7200

 

3-74?? (not sure)

 

 

 

-Total XP gained from molten glass to air battlestaff:

 

making orb - 52.5 crafting xp

 

Enchanting orb - 76 magic xp (requires 66 magic - 3 cosmic & 30 air)

 

Attaching orb to Staff - 137.5 crafting xp (requires 66 crafting)

 

 

 

-Profit Calcs: (cheapest way w/highest profit)

 

5gp for soda ash (from store..or 10gp if you buy seaweed + sand)

 

7000gp for battle staff

 

75gp (x3 = 225gp) per pure ess (you need 3 cosmic per cast...so 225gp)

 

75gp per pure ess for nature rune (if you do double nats then lets say 35gp)

 

total cost being - 7305gp

 

 

 

High Alchemy yeilds: 9300gp

 

 

 

total profit = 1995 per staff

 

 

 

ive done this method many times..its not fast money at all...this method is if you only buy 1 staff per world...so you have to hop quiet a bit

 

 

 

in other words....very boring and time consuming...and GP/hour is very minimal....unless you have the supplies bought already

i've made 1.4k earth battlestaves at once, and i can say, this guide doesn't go into as much depth as needed.

 

 

 

Earth battles are not as good as air, but they're still ok. They are not fast money, but this is how i went from 58 to 67 or so crafting. It worked for me, and it really is a huge pain to do it all. I got the seaweed from entrana (no charter ships), cooked it, got sand on my own (burt's to slow) then made it in a furnace, then blew the glass into orbs, charged them, bought 1.4k battlestaffs (VERY VERY VERY VERY SLOW PROCESS, involves a lot of world switching.)

 

 

 

So. Excellent crafting xp for those who are cheap and want to try something different, a good money maker as opposed to green d hides.

you could always kill the monsters in the elemental workshop grab the normal elemental staffs they drop and use player owned house study to change them to battle staff or even mystic.

 

 

 

Not sure if you can use a wielded staff to act as the runes for it but its simple and you can find many people hosting house partys on the rs forum so you can ask them if they got a high lvl study.

This doesnt really work anymore if you simply buy the staves. :wall: But it works if you use Baba Yaga on Lunar Isle.

For those critisizing, he could be using the lunar spell "spellbook swap" to cast charge and Paddewa tele.
