Hooya2
The Overview This is a thread listing how many players have 99 in all of the individual skills, in order from most common to rarest. The Intro I've posted threads like this twice before, both times on the RSOF. I posted it first on the General forum, where i got a grand total of two posts. Yay me. I posted it on the skills forum next, and it achieved mildly greater success, but was soon ignored by most players. I decided to update and repost it on this forum after reading somewhere that someone thought "cooking, fletching, firemaking and thieving were the most common" because "they were the easiest" (definitely not an exact quote lol). The List 1. Strength: 21,909 (21.9k) 2. Cooking: 20,732 (20.7k) (My first and noobiest 99) 3. Fletching: 19,815 (19.8k) 4. Attack: 19,636 (19.5k) 5. Hitpoints: 13,511 (13.5k) 6. Defense: 11,319 (11.3k) 7. Ranged: 7,427 (7.4k) 8. Woodcutting: 6,742 (6.7k) 9. Magic: 6,418 (6.4k) 10. Firemaking: 3,388 (3.4k) 11. Fishing: 2,797 (2.8k) 12. Prayer: 2,549 (2.5k) 13. Thieving: 1858 (1.9k) (One of which is me :XD: ) 14. Hunting: 865 15. Crafting: 783 16. Smithing: 674 17. Mining: 533 18. Agility: 436 (all i had to do to find this one was look up myself \ ) 19. Slayer: 371 20. Farming: 305 21. Runecrafting: 296 22. Herblore: 229 23. Construction: 189 The Notes I've done this 3 times up to date. the first time, attack and strength had a hefty lead, and under 100 people had 99 construction. additionally, hunting was still among the top 5 rarest. the second time, cooking had overtaken attack but strength was still far in the lead, and fletching was still pretty weak, while hunting was in the 8th position and con still had less than 100. Now... you see how it is. The Miscellania I got all this information from the rs hiscores between 5:30 and 5:50 Tuesday afternoon July 24, 2007. Some of these numbers will not be accurate, even by the time i post them. Some skills, especially strength, cooking, fletching, and attack have very explosive growth, sometimes more than 50 players a day. I got the info by basically using the search for rank option to find the lowest ranked player with 99 in a skill. their rank is the number of people who have 99 in that skill. If you wish to you may look thse numbers up in the hiscore and they should be fairly close to accurate for a couple days If you see ANY errors please post below, thank you : Racist Mod (may or may not have been taken out of context)Figuring out what to put in my signature just takes too much work.If your still reading this, your a noob.lol

Hooya2
lol ouch. i have a fair distribution. i have cooking, the incredibly common; thieving, the not-quite-so-common, and now agility, the very rare. I'm content with the spread =) Racist Mod (may or may not have been taken out of context)Figuring out what to put in my signature just takes too much work.If your still reading this, your a noob.lol
-Devoted12-
I knew that Herblore was a rare cape, but it has been out for a LONG time. That must be a very rare skill to get 99 in since it is soo old, and very few 'scapers have one! Construction is a farely new skill, so it will rise in 99's, but it will still be one of the rarest ones. I guess I'm smart to go for the rarest 99 at this point in time. :) It won't be the rarest soon enough I believe.
Randomnameless
what sprusied me most was that cooking was so close to strength. I thought Strength would be in a catorge by itself since most people in f2p just train strength. Even know i am f2p i think construction will be the rarest for a long time to come, just because of the cost associated with the 99.
PuppyKing
I remember the other topic about this, and the topic creator had a graph, and everyone loves graphs, so I like the other topic better. Blog.
Freesia
Very nice job for the statistics. I'm not surprised 2 of my 99s are in the last 7 ranking, and there are less people with 99 agility than mining but agility yields a faster exp/hr than mining and is less clicking intensive. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
phata_elise
Look at that. Obviously strength is the easiest and most n00bish stat, since it's at the top of the list! Ha, even cooking deserves more respect than strength now! :P..... ;)
Dragon_lord
IMO the main reason why so many players have 99 strength is because of pures. I'm not saying only pures have 99 strength, but they do play a role in this. Anywho, congratulations on a job well done. Pretty much what Dragon said.Thread terminated.I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator? No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.
Harrington
Seems prayer is my rarest 99 then... a bit disappointed that it's becoming more and more common. Think i'll work on something a bit rarer then... like crafting or construction. anyway, good job compiling the list.
Mollerz
This is great and really informative to me! You should update this every first day of the month. And use hides... Like... [hide=July] Amount of players that have 99 skills in July [/hide] [hide=August] Amount of players that have 99 skills in August [/hide] etc... Click my signature for my blog! totalpwnage
I'm still amazed. Herblore has been out for like 6 years (since members came out), yet hardly anyone has 99. Its one of the skills you basically have to buy, though. Same with crafting, smithing, mining. Mining was a lot easier in classic, and it seems to show with that statistic of people with 99 mining. Crafting and smithing are also are skills you pretty much have to buy. It shows that its buyable by the fact that there are more 99 smithers versus 99 miners. Of all the stats, it seems obvious that there are a lot less people with 99 attack or strength versus people with 99 defence. You know why. Thieving has been going up in popularity. Lots more people are getting 99, and it seems more people are starting to use Pyramid Plunder. Fletching has been slowed way down, and the experience rate has been nerfed when stringing. Which kinda sucked for me, I was stringing about 21k bows at the time, and 10k of them were done before the update. Had to trade the other 11k for strung bows so I could go alch. Ended up getting 85 mage and selling the 2.8k bows left over to my friend for his goal of 99 mage. But yeah, this is a nice guide to show how unique you are from others, to show you how many others share the same accomplishment as you do. Started free trade with 1.5m cash. 2 weeks later, have hit max cash 2x. PvP drops: 359 Brawling Gloves, 11 Vesta's Longswords, 41+ Zaros/Ancient Statues9 Dragon Full Helms, 3 Dragonfire Shields on the old PvP loot system Brawler guide is being finished! meb
Very nice job for the statistics. I'm not surprised 2 of my 99s are in the last 7 ranking, and there are less people with 99 agility than mining but agility yields a faster exp/hr than mining and is less clicking intensive. Mining is F2P though. I am surprised that there are so few 99 Hunters, for the rest it's pretty obvious. Turns out there are fewer uber-rich player than there are players with an insane amount of patience (rc). Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.
