Abelmisi
I like chilling music to add to the variety of metal and other types of rock I listen to :). I know hip-hop is a genre many may not look up to, but hey. Can you guys name good white MC's and hip-hop groups? I have some Eminem and I love it. Matok
Do you know theBeastie Boys? Check Your Head is a masterpiece, not less. Though i must add the B boys were never considered pure hip-hop band.

How2PK
You like to hear music to 'chill' to so you're going to listen to Eminem and the Beastie Boys...That doesn't make sense to me. Listen to the album Black Star, which is by Talib Kweli and Mos Def, but them together are called Black Star as well. And although they are black, they won't bite you... Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
Satenza
Fatboy Slim, kinda "chilling out" and some of its rap/hip-hop. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

1_man_army
I have a question, why does it have to be white rap particularly? What difference does it make what colour the rapper is? He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)
Abelmisi
I have a question, why does it have to be white rap particularly? What difference does it make what colour the rapper is? White and Black rappers have different styles. Black rap doesn't usually involve "scratching" and special effects. The two types rap about different subjects too. I knew I was going to face that question.

aquariusman
You should try Atmosphere as well. most defiantly, I felt like the only one on these forums to listen to them :\ You're wrong on that, and it looks like so am I. So why only white? There are some very good "chilling" songs out there by non-white rappers/hip-hop artists (Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Atmosphere, etc.) There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience. Chocobodude0
Eminem, House of Pain, 3rd Bass is all I can think of. And for the record, white people aren't the only rappers who use "scratching" effect, lots of rappers do. If you're gonna only listen to a rapper because of skin color, especially in a genre like rap, you're going to be missing out on A LOT. Trust me, their are rappers who are black who are lightyears ahead of white rappers, and vice-versa as well. Rapping is like every other kinda genre, it all comes down to talent, and skin color doesn't determine talent.

Forgive me, I don't know a whole lot about rap, the music (black&white rap) I so far heard was pretty different. Guess I was wrong. And don't bend my words, I never said I'm listening to a rapper because of skin color, I just wanted to make it clear what kind of rap I like.
