We want more helpful critiques, less flaming, more real art and more learning on the part of our members. Since you all like to advertise your own work, and I do too, I won't make a sig for this. This is pro ART. As in ..less sigs, more real works of beauty. Abstract and terragen? That is um...alright I guess. pixels are actually not bad for art/drawing etc. What we are hoping for is some serious attempts at drawing, 3d work, etc. Some abstracts or advanced landscapes might work. But the bad ones are actually WORSE Than pixels. We want to increase the talent level, increase the learning, and decrease just the crass commercial sig market stalls. Quer_Skulll Posted February 11, 2005 Share Posted February 11, 2005 as much as i like this idea (ive always wanted to make pixel walpaper.. in full detail..actual pixel art..) im not sure if this is quite going to work out as everyone hopes.. sure i'd love to see this happen.. but really do you think this showing off board will get allot of .. threads posts.. allot of the kids aren't interested in art beyond sigs.. allot are just in for the quick bucks.. i think the media board has grown in the amount of good people.. and people actually interested in the art outside the box. but i really dont think this is going to work out the way everyone wants.. as much as i'd whant to.. doubt theres going to be allot of active posters.. and not to mention the rate/buy/New p!x0rz thread is going to lose all its good people .. so they wont have anyone to guide them, loss of interests from outside forums to come here to buy there .. sigs or wallpapers whatever.. etc. etc. i hope someone will prove me wrong.. no harms or broken dreams intended just speaking my mind. I would rather have a seperate board where there are one half as many people looking but the thread doesn't dissapear so soon, and the people looking actually care. As it is, the shops, sig business etc. just swamp everything. But we can't control when we get a new board. We CAN control what we do with the board we have now.
