better something with no other uses but still valueable

and with the issue that no one could get them easy

 

 

 

well if it was merchant currancy jstu sell soemthing to a player and there ya go

 

 

 

of course theres plenty downsides

 

like players getting rich by making money

 

and that extra bank spot it takes to hold the ammys

The whole point of money is to do away with trading one resource/item for another, and creating a scale for this. Quite frankly its a very bad idea.

This is like trying to make people accept bobble head figures as currency.

Imagine it, a whole continent would have to be devoted to keeping goats, to fulfill the need for TRILLIONS of them. I would gladly pay by goats if it was logistically possible, maybe they could be kept them in space on a massive space station.

PETA would approve if the goats were well fed and had plenty of space to move about, which yes would be a problem, but we could just kill PETA. Goats are the only replacement currency i will give my backing to. :notalk:

A. The PURPOSE of gp is for trading.

 

B. Why are we discussing goats and bobble heads?

The only part of this that is a good idea is that it allows players to have more money. It's similar to the Bronze Pieces, Silver Pieces, Gold Pieces, Platinum Pieces, where they are worth 1, 10, 100, 1000 normal gold pieces. That way, players can have more money in their bank. (More than 2.1 bill)

So much for the days when people on this forum could be counted on to be more intelligent than those on the RSOF.

Yes, in the very rural, worlds poorest areas, stuff is bartered (eg one item is traded for another item; Example: goat traded for 3 bushels of corn) Hoever, once upon a time, before currency, everything was bartered, we are past that now, so why should we go back?

Not that I'm in a terrible struggle for hard cash, but it would be good if there could be some alternative currency, not usable items, but another form of cash. Similar to tokkul and trading sticks, but more flexible and tradeable.
