By the way, it's probably not even your opinion, you heard it, agreed with it, and when you bring that pearl out you make an exercise of memory, not of reflection. I for one, disagree with that opinion. From age 0 to 16, I agree that age is important, since the brain and body is not fulled developed yet. But from age 16 and beyond, I think age is totally irrelevant. I've seen old adults (50+) around me do the same errors over and over again because they had failed to learn from their past experiences. I've seen one dwell into his narrow-mindness and ego, like a lot of the teenagers here do. I've seen another reject his love relationships, relationship after relationship, without ever facing the reasons of this. I've seen another live in depression, anxiety, fear, and self-pity. Those humans, no matter how old they were, never evolved. Evolution does not occur if one does not take the time to reflect. And even though I did not live any of those old adults' experiences, I don't need to - I have learned from their experience and will not do the same errors as they did.

In my highschool someone got pregnant somewhere around her freshmen year. She decided to keep the baby, but I'm sure the father would have rather not. The father got kicked out of his house by his parents. The mother and baby are fine, though have finacial problems.

 

 

 

The mother's parents want her to try and be self-reliable and try to help as little as they can. Government agencies pay for day-care, as long as the mom doesn't have a job, so when money is gone, its gone. Her only choice is to get a job and hide it from the agencies, so she can pay for diapers. If they did pull the funding on the daycare, minimum wage wouldn't take care of the price of daycare alone.

 

 

 

Both of them are still in school, though not together anymore and in a fight. The baby isn't neglected at all, and well taken care of, and no one's life has been completely ruined.

 

 

 

 

 

My opinion on teen pregnancy is that it should be avoided, unless somehow they're ready for it, but when it happens there's nothing you can do about it, especially if they want to keep the baby. My mom was only 20 when she got pregnant with me, and all of us turned out fine. I do see one good thing that comes out of teen pregnancy though, the parents and child are able to relate to eachother more, because of the smaller age gap, because when I have a kid I don't want him/her to think of us as old folks.

Condoms have a ~90% of success. It's not 100%, but it's not completely unreliable.

 

 

 

Anyway imo, girls that get pregnant should just decide what they want to do with their baby, abort it or keep it, with all the consequences. People are like "omg it's disgusting it's soo immature to let that happen" then to you;

 

1. Accidents happen, protection is not always reliable

3. Bad family, or community problems, circonstances

I think that actually very little teen pregnancies are due to reckessness. At the very least, there is circonstances, even you Mr. and Mrs. Perfect could get into that "immature" situation if you had came from different communites and backgrounds, just be thankful you haven't, and be tolerant of those that weren't as lucky as you.
