This following post is for information so others don't lose out on this Glitch/bug or tactic as it may be

 

 

 

I decided to watch some higher lvls fighting the Bandos and noticed a tactic they are using this was with only 3 guys.

 

 

 

One attacks big guy the other follows and then eventually theres one guy standing infront of boss in the corner blocking him

 

 

 

 

 

 

As you can see from the picture the boss cant move since hes after the one in the top right side who stays there and kills a general repeatedly and the boss cant get to him due to the one blocking him, the other runs around and kills the other generals.

 

 

 

Guy in left moved and the boss started attacking guy on the right, the guy on the right ran to the bottom right corner and the other stood infront of him making the block again. They could only make this happen in that corner!!!

 

 

 

I went in and attacked boss so he came for me, and then ran back out the door like the girl I am :) , they again used the same corner to block him and just got kills for a few hours.

 

 

 

Glitch/bug abuse or good tactical move? bearing in mind there are 4 corners but only one seems to work.

 

 

 

Opinions - is it a good tactical move or a glitch/bug

Ye your thread is ruined with that... "But i ran like the girl I am..."

Forget about this boy/girl crap, the key to fighting these bosses is to fight smart and take as little damage as you can. They have obviously found a good way that works for them and that's great, no matter what their level. Now it's up to Jagex to decide if they want to change this, like when they removed the safe spot on the Mithril Dragons.

It's a glitch nor a bug, just taking advantage of the way NPCs behave, really.

More power to the 3 high levels for finding a way that limits the risk of dying. Very smart of them.

 

 

 

As for comment about fighting like men. Go ahead and fight like a man, die and lose all your stuff. But apparently, you weren't man enough to do it yourself since you ran like a girl that you are.

Oh well i went in and attacked the boss again along with others it all ended with the hoghers teleporting :)

yea, let's all fight like man and have our honorable death and lose our stuff (sarcasm)

 

 

 

its called strategy, if you have it, use it. kind of the same thing people used to fight jad (using the Italy rock to block some of the monsters) . it doesn't have to take just brute fighting and eating to beat the bosses, but smarts also.

its not a glitch or a bug but im 100% sure jagex will change it since its not the way they wanted it to be.

Agreed, real men pray range when they are taking Prime hits also.

actually, i melee prime with my bare hands ans rex and supreme die of pure shock.

On Topic: so this is the tactic jagex was talking about on the forums...

I think its cunning, but unfortunatly, it will probably be removed, as it should. If not, Brandos would drop in price.

so let me get it straight.

 

 

 

bandos boss thing spawns,and targets one player.that person thats targeted runs to the forementioned corner,and then another person comes to block,while the originally targeted player runs off.

 

 

 

therefore leaving the bandos boss blockedi n a corner,trying to attack a player on other side of room,who are taking care of generals.then all 3 of them can team up on the main boss that was blocked,that how it works?

Jagex will probably nerf it now...

This is sorta what people do at KQ, stand in a triangle so it can only attack one at a time. How is that bug abuse? And don't say they're "fighting like girls" because lots of girls I know fight pretty well :XD:

Good for them on figuring out a very effective way to defeat a difficult boss monster using few people and resourses. I wouldn't really call this bug abuse, since that is more of less how monsters are supposed to behave. However I wouldn't object to Jagex changing it so that this doesn't work anymore because I image they intended this to be more challenging that that.

Its nothing like the KQ tactic, its more like the barrows brothers blocking. Odds are it will be fixed in the next update if not sooner :?

But in general, getting into a fight with a marine generally isn't the brightest idea on earth.

its not a "high level tactic", its prettymuch the same thing that happens with barrows. Or any other monster. The diff would be, i guess, the generals attacking you

I'd say this might be changed by Jagex, because its obvious that they wanted all enemies to be able to attack you(at the same time) in the boss room. It's no form of cheating though, thats like saying dancing with enemies is bug abuse or w/e.

lol its about tatics to get most kills without wasting food or watever if u wanted that sword and cud get it like them u wud do it too
