After going to the duel arena and getting basically cleaned, I decided I really didnt want to play rs anymore and quit (everyones initial reaction probably). I logged into an f2p world and this level 57 comes up to me and says "wats ur max hit?". Now looking at this guy I really saw a younger version of myself. I remember so much looking up to higher levles and wanting to be friendly with them only to be ignored and flamed and whatever. He was wearing a few mith items and looked very poor, so I went into my bank and gave him full rune with a chain since he couldnt wear the plate yet. He was SOO happy. It honestly felt really good and I was like wow maybe I shouldnt have been such a bad person while playing this game. I probably wouldnt have gotten muted and banned countless times. Things are starting to look up maybe I should just continue to play the game fairly.

 

 

 

Until 10 minutes later. He messages me.

 

 

 

him: hi again thx sooo much for the rune!!

 

him: i love u lol!!

 

me: no prob

 

him: i lost the rune helm

 

me: .... (side note i even reminded him not to lose it!)

 

me: i know u didnt i gave it to 10 mins ago..

 

him: ya can i have another set plz/!?!?!?!

 

me: bye

 

put on ignore

 

 

 

even when i try to be nice people do things like this. just from that convo i was immediately reminded why i always played this game the way that i have over the years. do you think most people are like this? what would you have done?

Well first of all, that's why I don't stake. The combat system is CRAP, so even though I have max melee, I will often lose just because of bad luck with the Random Number Generator.

 

 

 

On topic, that's why Jagex should've never joined with Miniclip. It introduced a multitude of immature kids who have the attitude "nothing is ever enough." It's sickening.

Yeah I know, it's sad that people do that, but newbs nowadays don't seem to be so innocent, more leeching and taking advantage of things. That's why I give advice instead of items nowadays.

I collect security books. Want to know why? Whenever some leech comes up to me and begs for free st00fs, I tell them "I will give you the most valuable item I own." I then give them a security book. If you think about it, I did not lie. Regardless, they usually call me a noob and start swearing at me. At that point, I tell them beggars can't be choosers, report them for offensive language, and then put them on ignore. :-w

When giving items make sure you give them to people who will use them wisely and who need them :wink:

I don't hate Jagex; I hate some of their decisions. And although I despise how the combat system is designed, combat is still my favorite activity in the RS. :-$

even today, me and my freind were talking (he ran outta members), and a level 32 comes up and says can i have some gold please?

 

 

 

i didnt have any gold since i just came back from slayer, but i did have a rune full helm, so i give him that. He now begins to beg my freind for stuff.

 

 

 

in my opinion, most of level 50 down are too greedy. But yet, i still give them small value items

I know that EXACT feeling. This person was really nice and I just randomly decided to give them 50k cash because they needed it. They thank me so much and in the matter of 5 minutes.. They ask for more. It made me so mad..

Same scenario happened to me. I was is SoS, and some guy (level 19) took a liking to me and asked me to show him the way to the next stage. Well he dies, and i feel sorry for him, so i give him 200K and some steel goods for him to use. then.....

Me: Np mate, i hope you will find use for it

 

Him: Why did you give me so much?

 

Me: Because i felt you could use it, i might not know you, but i want to be kind.

The bad sides of being positive in this game, people take advantage of you. I want to be nice, but always when i am, happens that, so i've kinda become the mean and bad dude. I just simply ignore all beggers and/or noobs that don't like me.
