It's hardly new and lots of people know about it. I believe Jagex even mentioned it in the update news on the main site ;) Listen to this man. The rune crossbow already has +90 range bonus, so a dragon one will probably have something like +120. Plus dragon bolts would hit insanely high, as at the moment people can hit something like 40 with rune bolts, untipped, I think. Unless this topic is really old, since before d bows, then i don't why it is even here.... Dragon bolts don't exist, only dragon arrows, dragon darts and dragonstone tipped runite bolts. Anyway, I feel no need for a dragon crossbow. Unfortunately, the only thing better bows and xbows do is increase accuracy. After the quest you'd be able to buy the stock from the ranged guild and the limbs from some dwarf place. I think it's like 86 fletching if you followed the pattern. But there's actually nothing new at least for me, as the same dialog existed when the x-bows came out months ago. ;) And back then it was also discussed widely here. Dark bow might as well be considered a dragon bow and a dragon crossbow would be a great range update to compliment it. yer and dragon crossbow would have to mean dragon bolts? And possibly a new gem to tip the bolts with... Doubtful for the new gem, hardly any crafting space left for a new gem. Dragon bolts? Yea thats a given. Maybe a new special that hits super accurate with any bolts below dragon and super accurate with some damage up with dragon bolts. Eh, who knows until Jagex decides to release or not release it. i know what you mean about the bolts, but wouldn't it be a bit weird having every kind of bolts but dragon having gemtips? Maybe they would make dragon bolts be able to take all gems or increase their affectiveness by +10%. You never know with Jagex. hmm u got a good idea there Maybe the crossbow could fire dragon bolts with some sort of monster drop attached like "crystal tips" or something along those lines. We don't need to have everyone repeat that. At the time it was really interesting because the Rune Crossbows stunk and everyone wanted a Dargon/Magic one since it would be better and therefore maybe useful. When it didn't come out, people mostly forgot about this reference. Since the Crossbows have become more powerful, and since Jagex is creating new, more powerful items here recently, it's fun to speculate as to what the Dragon/Magic Crossbow would be like. Alot of people use ruby and diamond bolts against monsters and they use dragonstone and, rarely, onyx bolts against players. I use my crossbow againts pesky mages when I pk to get rid of them with my leet 75 range. They have their uses ever since they were put into the game. aussy4321 Posted September 18, 2007 Share Posted September 18, 2007 I can tell now what the special would be, "A Ranged Shot that 100% Inflicts the Enchant on your Bolts" if the c-bow were to come out, and this to be it's Special... it'd be very very strong. As a Pure ( a range pure ) i'd be able to hit 42's at 54 Combat (and some people did higher), The average person there had 52-59 Hitpoints! Shoot 1 Bolt (hits a 20-23) THey hit you with scimitar (hits a 17-24) Shoot Special! (hits 43). Can you see the power in that? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
