D sq is good for defense bonus, if you are fighting something that ranges, crystal shield is good or granite, for some defense bonus and attack rune defender is good, and the list of bonuses for god books are as follows: Sara = 8 defense bonus Guthix = 4 defense, 4 attack(balance) Zammy = 8 attack bonus Hope I helped :mrgreen:

WAY MUCH BETTER!( to guy i quoted^^) 2. depends on what u want and how much u have to spend. if u have 23m in ur bank gathering dust and 75 def, id recomend a dfs >.< best shield in game. rune defenders r gr8 for a variety of things. and it looks cool. and obby shield also is ok. u just miss the atk bonuses of the rune def >.< * just a note, ive never weilded an obby shield >.<* RUNE DEF FTW!

The only thing it did much from my view was attract noobs. I had it ffor a while. But rune def is defintly better and cheaper choice. That shield aint so great.

September 17, 200718 yr Pick the rune defender, unless you NEED to prioritize defense over attack; at that point, I'd say dragon square or an obsidian shield. Zamorak book is best for when you need to pray, plus it's good in Barrows. Sig credit goes to ThruItAll. :D
September 18, 200718 yr Dragon-fire shield is the best overall. If you want offense over defense, take a rune defender. If you want defense over offense, take a dragon square or a dragonfire-shield. If you want a mix, take an obsidian shield.

September 18, 200718 yr I personally would say obby sheild, because it has the same str bonus as rune def (so you hit just as high) and much more def, but without the attack bonuses, which I prefer. To tell you the truth, I don't really notice a difference in how much I hit with rune def vs. obby shield. :ohnoes:My Guide on Obby Mauling!

September 18, 200718 yr Rune defender are perfect, its free and got both offensive and defensive bonuses. Obby shield are for ppl with the cash and are to lazy to bother get a defender, it took me like 2-4 hours to get 4 rune defenders all the way from bronze with a Ring of wealth, it was WELL worth it. Rune kite are medium good def and are cheap. no str or attack bonuses so i would recommend something else Dragon fire shield are probably the best, good def and offensive bonuses and its ability to launch fire makes it the best but also expensivest choice Dragon sq are mostly for looks and superior defence, no offensive bonuses but its the best if your looking for defence. Dragon med VS Berserker helmet - Berserker helmet are cooler and better in offensive bonuses, dragon med arent worth the cash.
