have a question bout music...

Featured Replies

i listen to music, but mostly on the radio, cuz my CD players wacked, and i don't have a MP3 player... the radio never does a good job of telling u the song name and the artist, so wen one of my friends go like

"Hey, have u heard this song?", i stick the headphone peice into my ear, and i hear a familiar song, and i go like

"Yea, i've heard it... but i don't know wat it's called..." kinda lame IMHO. then he goes

"You know who sung it?"

"No..."

"Really?! Hey guess wat, (insert name, use imagination) doesn't know wat this song is called!!!"

u can guess the rest... so, wat i'm saying is that is there a website were there r new songs, gets updated quickly, with artists and stuff. like a music library perhaps? any1 kno of such a place? :-w :-k

Go check out the site of the radio station you heard it on.

Just Google the name. In the site I went, there was a song list. I just scrolled and checked each song to see if it matched what I remembered. It stated the band name and title of song. :)

Usually if you just Google a line from the long you'll be able to find lyrics with the song title and name of the band. But yeah, radio anouncers do need to do a better job of telling you what's playing. I usually stay one step ahead of the game with new songs after I hear them on the radio (if I like them) so I usually end up telling others the title/band. But anyone who goes off an makes fun of you for not knowing the title of a song is a moron.

I usually check billboard.com for new stuff. Check the top 100 singles, you'd probably find it there if it was new.

just don't listen to the radio. They don't play good stuff anyway, just whatever is popular.

And since when is popular music bad?

My suggestion: Buy your friend a nice pair of headphones, not earbuds, then they can't share their music with you. ;DD

Or, check out the site of the radio station.

A guy subbing for my Films class and I got talking, and he said he ran a radio show every second Saturday. He plays alot of old 70's prog stuff (Eloy, Yes, etc.) so I ended up listening to it... He said that he needs to write down each song he plays, along with writing credits. So it'd make sense that that info is accesible.

So yeah. Check the site of your station.

Since the invention of 'pop'

Never hear stuff like Metallica on the radio <.<

You're listening to the wrong station then. Theres plenty of digital stations and online radio sites that cater for those tastes.

p.s when was the last time Metallica released a track anyway, 2004? Most radio stations only play music from the charts, if you wanna listen to Metallica on those stations then get them to release a decent new single.

Maybe you should listen a little bit better. Whiskey in the Jar, One and Nothing Else Matters have been pretty popular in it's day. Not to mention that Metallica falls under the category pop-music as well.

Really, it's such a shame, all these so called 'music fanatics' (read: teenagers listening to metal, thinking that they know everything)) claiming that pop-music is bad. But when you ask them why, they always come with some kind of lame answer. I wonder if they really know what pop-music is. My brother is turning into one of those kids as well. It's really hard to live with.

I'm in one. ;P We're currently doing some small storyboarding/filming stuff, but generally we watch a film and then discuss it/decipher it. We did some Hitchcock stuff earlier this year... It's a pretty good class. ;P

If the song is in the charts, you could just find that week's charts and see if you can spot it off there.

Oh, and btw, I imagined your name is Barry.
