September 29, 200718 yr Mithril and Adamant were both used by various games and fantasy novels. Runite was something made up by Jagex for Runescape. I'm not sure if this really counts as off-topic though. Cowards can't block Warriors.

Actually mithril and adamant have been around for thousands of years they just go by different names now. diamonds= adamant mithril- *edit* upon furher analysis i am not entirely sure of "mithrils" name origins but it did not start form J.R.r Tolkiens: the Lord of the rings or the Hobbit. Even lotr got all of its fiction from mythology, and other various thign s from the world. It kinda explains why Mithril is unusually light compared to any other Runescapian metal (Bronze, Iron, Steel, Black, Mithril, Adamant, Runite, Dragon) ~ W ~
