November 4, 200718 yr I have a couple of small tips related to this.. 1) Keep random event food, kebabs, triangle sandwiches etc. 2) Go with full prayer. If your water skins run out its suprising how much longer you can stay there with just a couple of bits of naff food and the 'rapid heal' prayer.
November 6, 200718 yr for the people done Varrock diary - they can bring the armour (at least second lvl is needed for granite). you drink more frequently (no desert robe top), but you get 2 ores on occasion - and experience is given for the extra ore. the guide sais - granite is the best exp/h, but i am not 100% sure. tested both granite and iron powermining and both methods were pretty close. (I could not do an exact measurement due to several distractions) do you have exp/h for iron? one plus of granite powermining is - less clicking, because it is a bit slower than iron and in the end less stressfull on the fingers :) It's possible to get almost 50k xp/hr mining iron.

November 24, 200718 yr I don't understand how you people are getting 50k+/hour power mining!! Mining is my main skill, so I try to keep track of everything and I've timed how much XP I am getting per minute and it is no where NEAR 50k/hour: Granite Time Experience 19- 11,090 41- 21,095 43- 28,120 39- 20,125 54- 33,015 40- 22,940 11- 7,200 26- 15,435 30- 17,525 19- 9,465 9- 5,525 Total: 331 (minutes) 191,535 (experience) That averages out at 579 xp / minute which is 34,719 xp per hour. I sit by the two granite rocks you showed and mine them until full and then really quickly drop them all (I'm pretty dang fast at dropping, btw), and then I continue mining (if I missed like 1 or two dropping, ignore them and just keep mining, waste of time to go back and drop them).. And for powermining iron with 3 rocks and then dropping OR having a friend drop them for me (was paying him 1k/minute to drop for me :D)... Time Experience 28- 13,895 14- 8,590 28- 13,615 45- 21,000 Total: 115 (minutes) 57,100 (experience) That averages to 497 xp / minute, which is like 30k xp /hour powermining iron... All of this mining was at level 80+, so I doubt that it a problem. I am level 3, so my pickaxe is in my inventory when I mine (it is rune, too). What am I doing wrong?!?!?! :evil: [/bads]

November 25, 200718 yr V armour 2 and 3 works with granite/sandstone for double ores Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

December 9, 200718 yr Slave Robes are better in the desert for heat than regular desert robes. They are from the quest Tourist Trap. You can get them back from a slave in the camp by trading him for regular desert robes.
