October 23, 200718 yr I used d'hide, but then again I didn't have guthans but these guys are extremely annoying... I ended up just using alot of food + prayer(I would hometele after an inventory then pray at my altar, go to the canifis bank via portal and return o the slayer tower).
October 23, 200718 yr I used 22 salmon on a 56 mage task in full black d'hide with the black mask, barrows gloves, mind shield, and mystic boots. I'm pretty sure that at half health you'd die before you could heal with guthans against the mages, but I've never used it. This task would be much less annoying with 61 agility... ...and from your signature I can see that you have that :) Watch out for the spectres by the chain, though. I got hit 2 10's when I was going to bank for food(checking the chain's level) and ecto teled with 3 hp and 1 in all my stats... October 23, 200718 yr They hit constantly without D hide so you'd never heal fast enough. I suggest wearing Blk d hide,barrows gloves, elemental shield, and any boots. Bring a whip and food. I got infinity boots a while back, and absolutely refuse to go in there ever again..until i really want bones to peaches... The rest of the arena is easy, especially if you went to the mazes first. October 23, 200718 yr maby heal on bloodvelds? They have a mage-based attack, and hit often through guthans, so not a good option.
October 24, 200718 yr Use Proselyte and basically create a balanced outfit between prayer and melee offensive bonuses. Use prayer potions, as the drops will easily cover the costs, and this is by far the quickest way to slay them.
October 24, 200718 yr Burthope them. I went there with 78 defence, 76 mage, over a 115 mage defence bonus, and was still getting hit once every 4 hits. If you really want to do them pray them.
