I ended up just using alot of food + prayer(I would hometele after an inventory then pray at my altar, go to the canifis bank via portal and return o the slayer tower). I'm pretty sure that at half health you'd die before you could heal with guthans against the mages, but I've never used it. This task would be much less annoying with 61 agility... ...and from your signature I can see that you have that :) Watch out for the spectres by the chain, though. I got hit 2 10's when I was going to bank for food(checking the chain's level) and ecto teled with 3 hp and 1 in all my stats... I suggest wearing Blk d hide,barrows gloves, elemental shield, and any boots. Bring a whip and food. If you really want to do them pray them.
