The fith game in the series and this time, Chris Redfield is the main character in the game, now set in Africa I think. The combat System will be the same as in Resident Evil 4, Third person. If you have an Xbox 360 or a PS3 you can download (still I think) the extended trailer which shows gameplay. The plot still remains a mystery but at the end of the trailer, you see a Woman which appears to be in a tank of some sort. From the trailer, it looks incredible, I think this game will have the same first impression that RE4 did. The game was going to be released in 2008 but however, they have delayed it to 2009. The game will be on the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.

I really liked Resident Evil 4 for the Wii, and I hate that the other two systems are getting RE5. Atleast I have Umbrella Chronicles to keep my zombie killing urge at bay for a while.

I wonder if those people complaining that this game was racist because it featured a white man shooting black zombies in Africa will kick up more of a storm when the game comes out...

Never really got in to RE found it boring after so long.

I would post the Trailer but, in some cases its not suitable for children =; Is the trailer still on Xbox Live or Playstation network? :-k I don't have a 360 or a PS3 (Yet) so its kinda hard to find out :P

 

 

 

From the looks of it, I think were sticking with the parasite plot line, if Saddler (is the spelling correct) comes back, I wouldn't be suprised, Capcom will always find an excuse to bring Characters back.

Oh god I hope they don't. RE4 had the worst storyline (compared to the old ones). I loved RE4 as much as the next person but to be honest the old REs were better in so many ways. Sure the camera angles were crap, aiming system wasn't great but it was challenging and scary. The 'puzzles' in RE4 basically solved themselves and I never found myself running short of ammo or healing items.

 

 

 

RE5 is at the top of my most wanted games list, but I hope they can get the right mixture of RE4 and the old style REs to make it the perfect horror game.

Looks TOO similar to RE4, I mean they re-used the weapon sounds for god sake, the village setting with the villagers going mad and attacking you sounds the same as in RE4, the whole idea of them passing on a strain of virus, sounds like all the other RE, it'll be a fun game but looks like we've seen it all before..for now at least.

If you want a scary game go play Silent Hill 2 and don't complain about RE4.

 

 

 

I wan't this game so bad. I'm geting a 360 for this and BioShock. I think Saddler will come back. If wesker can die like 3 times and come back then so can Saddler.

 

 

 

The person in the tank reminded me of Alexia Ashford.

I've been a fan of the RE series for a while and RE-5 looks friggen sweeeeet.

 

I'm kind of dissapointed though that it's only going to be for 360 and Ps3 though :(

The Wii is a much better system for this type of game. I don't see why they wouldn't release it, they'd make a fortune.

RE4 had its moments... you can't tell me you didn't freak when you first saw a Regenerator, and it wouldn't die, no matter how much you shot it- or the Iron Maidens.

 

But it wasn't scary... just intense.

 

Anyway, can't wait for it to come out, looks great.
