I'd love if there was some up-to-date guides for say Tier 80 players getting into bossing as opposed to "watch me use the highest gear imaginable, rape a boss in 20 seconds and you need to learn how to do that with your nex gear".

 

It's impressive, but from what I've seen all the guides I find are only t90 and usually showcase max players.

If that was a dig at the 5 second legio kill, well, that's not even a guide to regular killing at all :P

 

Read up a guide for any boss monster you want to learn, and basically do the same thing with your weaker gear. You might need to make changes to your inventory/accessories, but the mechanics stay entirely the same pretty much the whole way through.

I'm working on updating my TD guide at some point in the future, but just know it was (and maybe still is) possible to get 130-140 with tier 80 gear, which is at least 6.5m gp/hr...

 

Regardless of what method you do though, it will be a long trudge to tier 90 gear and all the fancy expensive stuff.

Jagex found a new way to troll us.

 

"Here is a picture of you disconnecting. Your login is invalid."

 

My guess is that it's something to do with your account still being logged in or too many connections from a single IP address/computer.

When trying to enter a Big Chinchompa minigame, you typically DC about 4 times before you finally can get in (because the "game instance is full"). Since today, when I DC I get send to the login screen and get that "incorrect login" message. I can't login, I just get that message minute after minute, and when I finally can log in, it all starts again in the lobby, I can't join any world and get send back to the login screen where the madness starts over. Needless to say, I eventually never got to the Big Chinchompa minigame...

I think it is to counter the DDOS attacks, just blocking the attempts after a few has been done. However I think they set the threshold just a tad too low. It does look like it is working, because the game is running decently again =3!

I don't know if it would have anything to do with the DDoS attacks, or at least they didn't put those limits in to counters the DDoS attacks going on atm, because that limit of several bad login attempts before being locked out for 5 minutes has existed for years.

I remember back in school, people would go on runescape and purposefully enter wrong credentials over and over so that everyone else would be locked out. :P

I never encountered it like this before this weekend. 

I can confirm its prior existence, on some days when I had a particularly bad time of attempting to type my password <_<.

So basically I can't play the game because A) there's a DDOS or B) Jagex lets me DC because their instance worlds suck. Either way, I can't enjoy the game. -.-
