They have been reported to Lightning, but no offense, she kind of quit. :( This seriously degrades the speed and consistency of communication with the Tip.It members and Lightning who regulates the banned and chat moderators. Since Lightning is gone, perhaps we should move the chat to a new location. Maybe Albosky or Ard Choille's? It would seriously move the weight that's on Lightning's shoulders and will help make the clan chat channel a better place. Suggest a new username the clan chat can be held under. She has quit, and it's stupid to have the responsiblity for moderating it if you can't be there like a regular player. To be perfectly honest, there will always be spamming and a large base of idiots on any large Clan Chat. (I may be wrong) and although I speak for either admin, I doubt either would give you a a runescape name away for an unofficial chat. From what i understand currently although lightning has left the building she is still updating and maintaining the chat channel, and have seen mods in the past to Pm mods or admin if changes need to be made as they are still in contact with her. I agree that it's possibly not fair to keep her attached like this, and a new channel should be implemented, although that does not change my position that it is incredibly unfair to make personal attacks in public. and for your other point..... If I was aiming to be a mod I would have applied when we had that option.... but I just don't have enough time at the moment so would not apply and would not try and be noticed that way. Ill bet some people spam in the tip.it forums (hard to believe im sure :roll: ) you dont see the forums moving to a diffirent site. A rotation of the "general" ranked users may help, perhaps a thread to apply for those positions? People have dangerously got themselves into the mindset Lightning is the official Tip.It-endorsed clan chat. It's not. It's just run mostly by members of the Tip.It staff, such as the Crew that still play RuneScape, and some of the more well-respected members of the Tip.It community, such as Lady Heinous. If you want to set up your own clan chat and advertise it in the Sticky at the top of this board, nothing's stoppping you. However, most of the feedback we actually receive is positive, and there's a good few dozen regular users that clearly adore it. Hence, I see no reason to actually move it anywhere. As for the whole speculation about "the tipiter". I certainly haven't received any word about this from anyone, and so I'll treat it as pure speculation, instigated by a group of users wanting to set up their own chat in response to what they see as Lightning's slow regression. We're not moving yet as far as I'm concerned. As others have said, the name is highly doubtful, considering Jagex already locked down the previous name "Tipitchat". If you want to go on other chats, fine. I'm not going to stop you or hold anything against you for soing so. But I'm really starting to get annoyed by this attitude of, "If you don't like Lightning, flame it and cuss it into the ground". BlogScape also has its criticisms, admittedly not as many, but I don't see users setting up threads in the general board about their problems. Instead, Sheynara and Oreo are personally contacted with any issues. I'd be appreciative if people would PM moderators such as myself, if you feel Lightning isn't giving any replies. Aside from that, there's nothing we can actually physically do. As said, there are plenty of users who still want to go into Lightning; you're being completely oblivious to their wishes. We may get the occasions spammer or bad player but whenever im on it I have an enjoyable experience. Anyways, we need someone from tipit to officially change the unofficial tipit chat to a different active user(someone from the chat), so that way tipit doesn't endorse it, we aren't labeled as advertising by jagex, and the chat can be monitored regularly. P.S. PLEASE Explain to me why certain mods should be stripped of thier position, even though they're doing a perfect(or pretty good anyways) job...
