Dhally for PvM. Higher attack, higher strength, both of which are necessary for fighting high def.

i personally find hally better "always" if it hits twice otherwise dds is better for obvious reasons, although the hally spec only has 3 specs per bar, whereas dds has 4.

Yea, DDS, 5 Special attacks, psn, and fast,

Then Hally, 2 Specs?, Slow, Yet his hard.

Still, you can hit alot more if you used DDS, SO in my opinion, I say DDS.

Th3 Crusader

I really hope you made two typos there... DDS = 4 specs, Dhally = 3

In answer to the debate, I think for big bosses like GWD ones and KQ dhally is best... Kbd DDS is better (For obvious reasons :P) And also it depends on if you want to kill it slowly from a safe distance not taking damage or from close range taking damage.

TifSig.jpg
Can't compare. Besides DDS is on my list of things that need a nerf.

The dds is only powerfull on those level 55 combat pures.

I've got hit a 33-25 by a level 104 today with one special is that fair X4 you are a dead man.

Did you have to ask,

obvious dds...

Another one of these 'rune long or rune scimmy' type of topics -.-

D halberd for pvm, and dragon dagger for pvp and some slayer tasks. Overall, i use and like the dragon dagger more

hmm which should i used against jad #-o

Yea, I like these :)

I have never used a dragon hally, but I think I would prefer a dds.

hmm which should i used against jad #-o

Nether, go for whip or godsword.

Nether, go for whip or godsword.

Neither, go for Rune Crossbow.

I'm actually rethinking my answer. I've been noticing a lot of my hally specs miss.

Unless theres like 4 players standing in a row of such fashion:

XXXX

...Y

You being Y, and 4 other players X, in multiway combat, I just don't see Dragon Halberd being of use in PVP.

You can do that?

If someone gave me a choice between a DDS or D Hally, I'd take the D hally, but if I had to buy my own, I'd say DDS. Although the D Hally spec can be used in a safespot.

its honestly not that hard people

On large monsters d hally is better (plus its a melee safespot)

On small monsters and players dds is better

redbullsigortiz.jpg

Halberd if you dont wanna get hit... (Safespot)

Halberd if its a big monster...

Dagger if you kill monster quicker (Poison)...

Dagger if your stronger than monster...

Specs are different because

1-Halberd hits 2... with about double the str... 3 times? 2 times?

2-Halberd ONLY works on bigger monsters

3-Dagger may have more, but halberd has more effect on larger monster

Overall?

Safespots-Halberd

Everything else- DDS

-Roy has spoken-

I think that the both of these weapons are great, but since I think that the hally looks better...I think it's a little bit better :D

lGxorje.png

Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak

Their both really good, one can't be considered "better" then the other since their both used for two completely different things. Dagger is more popular because it only requires an easy quest (Lost City) while the Hally requires and harder quest (Regicide) and it costs a lot more.

That's why the majority of people have DDS's, because the quest is much easier than Regicide. Regicide requires you to finish a lot more other quests first.

rook_2222.png

F2P for life :D

well...depends on your lvls like if you can max 30's with dds then it will most likely be better but idk dagger imo i guess :P

bandos:hiltx1

i was using d hally specs for big monsters ( ones u can hit double on) everywhere then i read this lol.

Dhally ftw

dds overr rated and i think its nooby

LOL invite? PM me :)

Maxed Kitten.png

If you were hitting big monsters like dking the hally would be better.

fo pures doing quests dds is good, fast damage then you can run behind something. if you were fighting the giant mole i would probably use d hally as it can hit 40s.

ruadorksiggy.gif

Thanks SkyFleet for the awsome siggy!

I would always use the D Hally when fighting monsters that are bigger then 1 square. For two reasons, the special looks sweet :) , and two, it hits harder. Yes, it has less specials, but seeing the bigger numbers makes me think that I did more damage  . And obviously, I would use a DDS for monsters that take up one square.
