Ok, I just reached second prestige about a week ago. I've fallen in love with the G3, I just can't figure out what to use for perk 3. Any ideas?

 

 

 

I've always though extreme conditioning is a seriously underrated perk 3. I use it quite a lot of Hardcore with my G3 set-up, allows me to get into a good position before the enemy does making it much easier for me.

Before I unlock Frag x3, I dont really know what to use as Perk 1. For sniping I usually use Claymore x2. Im not sure what else to use for other classes, though. Can anyone help me?

3x special grenades can be more useful than Frag 3x once you know how to use them effectively. Until you unlock 3x frags, I'd go with 3x Flashes for now.

I prefer bomb squad for rushing, claymores for camping.

 

 

 

I hardly ever use Frag x 3.

For perk 1, I use 3x flash (or stun, depends on personal preference) for most weapons. I'll use claymores on sniper rifles and for search and destroy I like C4. For guns like the G3 or any gun you're tempted to spray with, bandolier works well.

Claymores are way to easy to run away from. If you have high sensitivity, you can hear the click turn and run away before it explodes. I have ran away from plenty of them and I only had the game for about ~5 days.

They are easy to run from. Personally, I just listen for the click when sniping, and when I hear it I turn around and pull out my pistol (or attempt a hawt no-scope :P ) that way the only thing I have to worry about is getting hit by another sniper, and not someone running up behind me.

Claymores are amazing, the one reason I use them in S&D is to figure out if someone is at a bomb site or coming around a certain area. They don't have to be put in position to kill, only to be set off sometimes :] But of course, you can be smart about it and kill them with it too, haha.

Yeah, I just use claymores for a warning more than anything else. Another thing I have found is that 'hidden' claymores don't work as well as ones that are literally in the middle of a room. I never place mine off to the side of a doorway facing in, I'll put it in the middle of the doorway. My favourite are stairs, because people just rush up them, only check for the red lines at the very top, and then rush the rest. Put 'em right in their path after the stairs and they always run into them. Seriously, it's counter-intuitive, but people in TD are freaking stupid. Hiding in plain sight :thumbup:

Well, I've had fun with the mini uzi on HC. Not so great at long range, but sniping with a pistol is fun.

I think both of these games have died down - guess we have to wait for CoD6 for more shooterspam?

Yeah CoD6 is gonna be epic lol. Co-op campaign both online and spit-screen, apparently a "modern" version of zombies, better graphics, a new story line... It's basically got all best bits from both games in one. (Guns being, in my opinion, far better on the Modern Warfare game.)

 

 

 

What game types do you guys prefer playing btw?

 

I've found that Hardcore HQ is - on most maps - absolutely awesome. On the other Hardcore game types you have to be very careful and although it may be "Hardcore TDM" it has a totally different feel to normal TDM - too many campers and you need to be very careful everywhere you tread unlike normal TDM. However in HCHQ there is something for both teams to aim for, meaning that they have to move around and you have a general idea of where they'll be. This makes the game have all the perks of a hardcore game type, just without the lame campers and confusion. The reason I love Hardcore mode is that you can see someone at the other end of a street and kill them with a machine gun even if they're running off the street. In normal game mode you can get a couple of bullets into them but they'll escape, on hardcore it's far more... hardcore. #-o :XD:
