At the rate at which jagex seems to combat RWT do you think it is possible that they might come up with a decision to disalow gifts? Or to be more exact, unfair trades, which can include things like...

 

 

 

Free smelting

 

Helping out your friends with skills or items

 

Alching for someone else

 

Etc...

 

 

 

I mean these things constantly happen between good friends. I personally have friends who smelt for me to help me get bars, who plant my seeds for me to help me get me herbs, and so forth.

 

 

 

I mean at this point nothing jagex might do would surprise me, but something like this will be a huge inconvinience.

Thats the thing, im completely indifferent. Ive quit twice before for 2-3 years each time. So if I were banned id simply move on to other things. Now, im not saying id be happy about it or I want it to happen, but if it does what can you do?

i would think this would be seriously inocnvenient, for example i had both parts of the dragon sq shield, but not the required level to join them together, however a trusted friend with level 99 smithing was happy to do it for me for free.... i dont see how any action like this can harm rs2 if the people asking the favour knows who they are asking to carry out said favour for them.

Yup, its not about level neede dto plant its about planting 2x as many in same time-frame.

I think that disallowing unbalanced trades entirely ends up 'Curing the disease by killing the patient' (Quoted from a thread title). It's not the best solution.

I wish J-mods visited this forum since the RSOF are so idiotic that no comprehensible points even exist. But here, Jagex could clearly view how much epic failure they have inflicted upon runescape.

those arent friends. those are people you are taking advantage of.

 

 

 

jagex doesnt have the time or resources to follow all unbalanced trades. they track the trades of bots and goldfarmers and people suspected. nothing new.

 

 

 

as it is i'd suspect jagex has widespread changes in mind upon introduction of the grand exchange so, we shall see.

Its not about level requirments but physical help to make up for time and such.

If a friend quits and gives you all the money he owns, you're banned. It's as simple as that. The amount of times that this happens, it might as well be stated as a bannable offense. :|

I was slightly worried when I lent some things to friends worth a few mil and ended up just giving it to them. I'm not banned though so I doubt there is much to fear.

How would they enforce it? not allow trades where someone offers nothing? Well, to combat the effect all someone needs to do is offer a raw chicken or 1gp or something...
