The God Wars Dungeon for Level 120+ Players (AoW)

1-She defenietly is harder to solo than K'ril tsutsaroth with her dart-fast 31-hitting melee attacks. He maybe can hit 50 with his specia attack, but will not even do it one a kill.

2-Read post correctly, I was talking about the fact that dragon boots can pay the cost to solo Zilyana.

3-Chance of getting a rare drop at solo : about 1/1000

Chance of dying at solo : about 3/4

4-Mind your own business

1-Sara is harder but it isn't that bad at all

2-Not important

3-Chance of rare drop is *way* higher than that because commanders are higher lvl and harder to kill so it only seems like the drop rate is that high.

4-You really need some help with your guide I wouldn't be pushing off advice if I were you.

Aside from that your sara team guide is lacking.

The Invy:You only need 2 ropes the very first time you go. So I would suggest adding that you need to go place ropes before trip that way you can have a super attack and a super strength where you have those now useless ropes.

The KC:I would get a picture off once you go down the first rope where the werewolf attacks the spirit mages so that you can have an easy killcount. I would also add a picture of the final level where spirit warriors, saradomin priest, and knight of saradomin are often fighting the gorak.

Killing Zil: First off when you run you should run from corner to corner so you don't get hit. That will make her switch faster as well. Once you have her killed run to the north wall to get star off of you (that is the once that looks like a unicorn since you don't have them labeled). Then run to the south wall to get bree off of you (that is the centaur). If star and bree both target the same person once they have gotten off of you all they have to do is run to whichever of the north or south walls they are closest to. During this time the people should be killing star or bree first, depends on which one is attacking the person who has growler on them still (growler is the lion).

Big miss on sara guide: You don't include ranging gear at all. If you have some rangers replace melee your trip will go just as well if not better. The reason it will do that is because zil is a lot weaker to range and it will be easier to tell who has zil on them resulting in faster kills. Rangers should wear their best ranging gear with void ranger gear working especially well. If you don't have void then karils and then black dragonhide. Ruby bolts for first half of zilina then diamond bolts for other half. Stop using ruby if your running low on food. Rangers should have 2 ranging pots, whip/scimmy to get kc, ruby/diamond bolts wielded with diamond/ruby bolts in invy, then 8 super rests, teleport to home, and then the rest saradomin brews.

^That is why you don't make a guide to something you've never done and then not accept help from people who have been.

I haven't even read the rest of your guides yet and I'm a tad worried that they'll be just as bad.

First of all, why are you instantly rude to anyone that has the slightest bit of advice for your guide? There is no need to get defensive, they are not personal attacks.

How hard a boss is to solo depends mostly on your own skill. I don't see much benefit argueing about it here. In regards to dragon boots (from above), people to to the dungeon for fun and the chance of rare drops. You can make far more money at sara boss then camping for boots.

1) Statwise, Zilyana is way harder than K'ril. K'ril very rarely hits 50s, his special doesn't occur all that often, and flat out statwise, anyone over level 100 can probably kill him once or twice with the help of a black mask. Probably more. However, I have known people able to kill Zilyana at least twice as many times. They're VERY skilled, and have a LOT of experience however.

2) Dragon boots do cover the costs most of the time but it's fairly irrelevant... if anything, dragon boots covers the TIME spent getting kill count, putting sara on an even footing. Both Zamorak and Bandos have weak minions you can get killcount from very quickly. Armadyl's minions drop rune items and adamant bars, and Sara's minions drop rune items and dragon boots, to make up the fact they're slower.

3) Either you made that up, or you can't count. I'm sorry but after my team has collectively obtained 7 Saradomin Hilts and 22 Saradomin Swords, I'd estimate it about 1:400 to 1:500 for a hilt, and at about 1:50 to 1:100 for a Saradomin Sword. These are estimates, however, so don't go "omg I got 120 kills and didn't get a Sword." Doesn't work that way.

4) If you're trying to provide information to the public, then we ARE minding our own business. We're part of your audience too, and we do have a right to comment if it seems some of your information is inaccurate.

Also, I've done well over twenty Saradomin solos and assisted solos. It's safe enough I brought a santa hat once instead (got way fewer kills since no defence from helm, but it was fun).

In short:

- Don't provide statistics, especially if you haven't got a clue what the actual values are, and ESPECIALLY if they depend on the user's skill level.

- Again, I still don't understand why you insist on writing a guide for something you've never tried... but that's your liberty so I'll refrain from criticizing it.

- If you can't handle ratings from people who are already familliar with the subject you are writing about, then you really shouldn't make a guide. I think you need to understand this.

The God Wars Dungeon is NOT a place that everyone already has a good idea about. Honestly, if I wrote a guide to tell people to go after Kree with Halberds and 10% strength instead of piety, I'm sure there will STILL be people who post "10/10 I'm gonna go try this soon." Notice that most people who ranked you 10/10 are people who have not tried to do a professional GWD trip, and they usually follow their rating with "This inspired me to go try it" or "I'll be trying it soon with some friends." My point is, they have no idea what it's like and therefore, their ratings are not an accurate reflection of the quality of your guide.

Versus, all the GOF and SOBD members, and the other pro monster hunters who posted here with less than fully positive ratings are people who HAVE been there, who HAVE seen the bosses fought properly, and therefore are offering advice.

If you can't take criticism from people who know the subject then you really should avoid making a guide about it. Especially since every comment so far from one of those people seems fairly valid. If you disagree, you should try to EXPLAIN why you disagree. Again, this is difficult from the perspective of someone who has never even experienced the activity he is writing about, let alone fully researched.

After looking over your guide, I think it deserves a 6/10. A lot of good information is presented, and it is fairly well organized. I'd guess Bandos is the one GWD boss you're most familliar with, seeing as your guide for that is the most complete. Like before, you're Saradomin Guide fails to tell people what kind of danger they're facing, and what skills they need. Again, this is probably due to your own lack of experience. If you didn't include a Saradomin Guide, at least until you've been able to visit it to gauge the difficulty level yourself, I'd rate it an 8/10.

great guide, forgot to put armadyl item on the armadyl section (the necklace)

10/10

I just did a complete makeover of the guide since it got messy after tip.it forums update. It's now all clean and ordered ::'. Soon, I will clean it even more and update the guide to include much much more since I haven't updated it for ages, so prepare for an even more improved guide. ::'

Thanks for bumping this. been trying to find it. I hate being stuck with soma's guide.

btw, why dont you add a range section for saradomin. it is extremely effective to range her.

Thanks for your comment ::'. There will be a ranging part soon, I am working on it.
Cool, looking forward to it!

Your Armadyl section is slightly messed up (to put it simply) =p

I've done plenty trips, changing gear to see whats best, and generally, Verac's Helm will perform better than the Armadyl Helm unless you have like a steel titan and need something that can be charged with scrolls. Also, Karils Leathertop would go over Blessed D'hide because of its extra mage defence bonus, which is very important if you are killing Kree in a group, as he only uses his Range (which you are protecting against) and Mage attacks. You should still write Ranger Boots > Snakeskin Boots, as they are actually better and all of your equipment is at risk at GWD anyway ;) Also, generally it would he Dragonfire Shield > Dragon Sq Shield > Obby/Granite because Dragon Sq has less range attack penalty, more melee defence, and less magic defence penalty (than Obby/Granite). You *will* be praying range against Kree already (I hope) so maxing out Mage Def (from Kree and Skree's attacks) and Melee Def (for the meleer, i forgot his name >_>) is a nice idea.

Generally, the outfit I used (which is considered the top/best outfit there) is:

Verac's Helm

Ava's Accumulator

Fury

Armadyl Chest

Armadyl Legs

Rune C'Bow

Dragonfire Shield

Ring of Life (has saved me twice, I'd recommend over archers tbh)

Ranger Boots

Zammy Vambs (as the zammy item, its only -1 less mage def than barrows gloves and -1 range attack)

Sharks are generally a waste, because at high hp levels brews heal almost as much and you can only eat at the same rate, and the timer till you can attack again keeps going while you pot/brew, as with food, it does not.

The bolt pouch is not really needed, I just have 150 Rubies on me and 400 Diamonds for KC and after Kree is at half. You also want the 3:1 Brew:Restore ratio, but as people get use to GWD they should change their inv. to the style they use to kill Kree. Also, adding bones to peaches tabs would be a nice idea, as 3 bones = 24 hp already. I normally bring between 10-15 a trip picking up the bones dropped by the minions.

Also, since an update a few days ago, super restores now restore summoning points, so that should not be a problem. Just do the 3:1 Brew:Restore again and load up your familiar, but bring two extra pouches on you. I generally use Eagle Eye if I know I have the prayer points to do so (50+), if the kill takes longer and I do not take any hits, it would mean wasting a restore, so I switch to Hawk Eye (10% one) which is alot less drain.

A strategy that many teams do is to DD (death dot) under the spawn of Kree'arra. Generally, if its someone's first time there they should keep range pray on to play it safe, but as you get more experienced, the DD allows teams to conserve prayers between spawn, flicking it on when Kree spawns and tries to move to attack (because you are under him).

You want to drink 3 brew doses, then one restore. Also, you always want a teletab, because if you are lagging, the home teleport option may not be an option while kree is battering away at you, and also if you decide to try one more kill, but are unable to complete it, you can tele.

99 Range on 08/25/08!

Solo Arma Hilt on 12/06/08! (clicky)

Nice Guide but a few things I have picked up from personal experieces. If you have a good tanker at zammy (that doesn't miss getting the boss on you) then only your tanker has to wear the mage def. The rest can use high range and melee def and protect from magic. They will be hit alot less by the minons but this set up can be dangerous if your tanker misses. I also believe that a bunyip/spinner works better when using this set up as he heals the little hits you recieve from the minons thus leaving your food for your tanker.

Really good guide. Very extensive. Loved it; been waiting for something like this for a while too long. :P

Title should be 110-138 not 110-130, that means 131's can't do this :XD:

In fact, I meant that players over level 130 could use better ways to do the GWD, like better familiars, modified equipment fitting better to their skills, etc... I'll change the title anyway, because it's true that they can still do it with my guide.

The second one is a Multi-Target Magic Attack. It looks like thunder striking everybody in the room.

Great guide!

I loved it.

I will most likely you use.

But is K'ril worth trying to solo?

  • Author

Hi, thanks for your post ;)

I do not know your skills, but I suggest you have a very good defence/ranging/hitpoints/prayer level before attempting to solo Kree'arra. If you do have good stats, it can be very profitable ::'

  • 3 weeks later...

Your saradomin guide has only 1 bad thing, TOO many brews. you have guthans already, why bother with a lot of brews?. And for solo you should say that guthans isn't there, because you don't heal on minions while soloing, other than that the guide is great :D

Very good

Two mistakes:

1: The pool at oola'g(sp) you want to dip is the BANDOS pool. Obviously oyu should dip in all of them anyways.

2: The effect lasts for one hour.
