Well it was just a example, you'd definatly need a bigger PSU than 1KW if just the cards themselves need 300Watts each... Here is the article, it's roughly 328 Watts. power consumption is always a focal point and some media outlets had concerns of the 2900XT drawing more power than what typical power supplies are able to output. November 30, 200718 yr That's max load on a single card though, which is rather easy to max out with current games. Distributing the load across 4 cards, even at the highest setting any game today can offer isn't going to result in all 4 cards being maxed out 100% of the time and drawing full power. Claiming you need an extra 800 watts on top of the max load on the cards to power the rest of the rig is ridiculous too. It doesn't really matter either way, if you're dumping enough money into a rig to set up quad video cards, you can afford to buy and/or mod a case to fit a second PSU to support that added power load, if it's even needed.

And most of all I want a huge wooden table to put it on! I use to have one at boarding school went i had a laptop but since i left and started day school again the desks are tiny.
