Use Itemx -> Playerx

 

 

 

Its only used for Xmas cracker, which no one even uses..

 

 

 

Jagex should get rid of it.

Who says the point of that is to use on players?

 

The "Use"-option is used in alot of skills so how would they take it away?

 

 

 

P.S: There's atleast one other use, as healer in Barbarian Assault you use the vial on your teammates.

yea i don't know of any other item that you can use on a player.

You can use field rations from void knight island on other players to heal them.

 

 

 

Also you can use butterflies the same way to increase attack, strength, defence or hp.

And I think you can use the rubber chicken on people. But I donno.

We have it because there are some items which you can use with players. A lot of the are members, but there are some f2p ones too.

Why?

Giving eggs during BA queen battle

 

Butterflies

 

Gnomeballs

 

 

 

Could be more, but those things are more than enough reasons to keep the "use with player" option. I don't know how they'd get rid of it, anyway. Just about any object in the game with options besides "walk here" can have items used with it.

yea but that was 2 years ago (still remember the post, everyone went crazy :lol: )

It's just left over coding from class definations that can't be removed with removing other more important uses for other stuff.

 

 

 

The same effect can be seen with "Pick up cat", even though it's not yours.

 

 

 

I think the effort required to edit the class and redefine where appropriate would be a massive task and jsut isn't worth the effort.
