Mines too maybe?

Don't want your best zombie hunters getting their hands or feet blown off, do you?

...Maybe Sworddude. It'd stop him team killing.

Ahem...

Either way, mines would serve to attract more, and electricty doesn't really affect zombies, does it not?

Its supposed to be roughly half as effective on zombies as it is on humans, this is why I suggested multiple tazers instead of just one.

Also, Skull, which is worse, an army of zombies limping towards you, or an army of zombies limping towards you on fire.

Just use normal guns, flamethrowers have very few uses, unless you are on a tower or something.

I told you, they're immune to reason on this subject. I've just stopped trying.

The idea I was trying to convey was that if you're overwhelmed by zombies, say 200 of them, forcing them to walk single file through obstacles would give you plenty of time to pick off the ones in the front while the ones you might not have ammo to kill would be burning to death in the back. Granted it might take a while for fire to kill the zombie, but not very long to cause enough muscular damage to stop them from advancing.

if were going to try and pin them single file we would probably have to be up against either a cliff or on a penninsula. Whats nice is that once you can force them to walk single file a lot of weapons gain more potential. While a machine gun is an awful choice for open field, firing down a row of zombies is going to cause a ton of damage if you keep the gun aimed at about neck height.

What I deem the perfect set up. The black stuff is walls: the first one forces the zombies into a bottleneck. The red lines are rezor wire, which immobilizes zombies. They will eventually stack up, forming a wall, until new ones stack on the other side allowing them to get over it. Next is a pallisade (blue), to immobilize zombies that walk into the [bleep]es. After that is the [bleep]e pitfalls (brown). The yellow is a deep ditch, and on the other side is another wall so the zombies have to stack up higher.

This means the location we choose needs to be very specific, otherwise there will be a lack of space/too much space in between.

I dont think we should allow the zombies to escape the bottleneck, the narrowness should continue clear up the the ditch and the actual path should be full of razorwire/[bleep]es cemented into ground. Also, if we force the zombies to walk single file to a ditch we could use flamethrowers to burn the zombies that escape the rifle fire we can use during their entire approach.

That's what I was getting at

Nope, they don't even specifically want brains.

Ok for the perfect setup, [bleep] you guys. Screw the elaborate traps and pitfalls

Of course, a wall, why didn't I think of that?

On the pit idea, we could just use explosives to kill them, if more come they'll fall into the pit, ready to be exploded.

Explosives guys, in theory great, in practice not so great. Making high explosives is dangerous. We will eventually mess up and blow our hands or faces off when we're making it. You want to know what works as well as a pit? A wall. Want to know what's better than explosives for killing zombies? Bullets.

Except your wall idea could easily get us trapped with no way to escape. An oil pit is a better idea, just have a way we can pour oil down from our base and it go into the pit so we don't have leave to light it/refuel it and possibly sacrifice one of our own. The oil isn't necessary but will help.

Ok, a 10 foot wall is really all that's needed. 12 at most. And there is no way in hell a 12 foot wall could trap me. If we really wanted, we could put ramps up to the top of the wall made out of wood or metal, or a ladders, from the inside. And oil pits? That's ridiculous. Unless we happen to have over a million gallons of oil, we're not gonna be able to sustain that.

Speaking of having tons of oil, I found a good spot to stay in my area.

Ok, so it's a power plant. It runs on wood-chips. At all times, at the facility there is enough wood to power the entire city (of like 60000 people) for 4 monthsish. Plus there is a reserve tank of 400,000 gallons of oil. Surrounding the facility is a 10 foot concrete wall, with barbed wire at the top, with a metal gate. Even if we didn't use the woodchips for electricity due to lack of knowledge on how to run the plant, we could still use them for heat. Also, it's conveniently located in the center of a giant agricultural complex. So the soils good, and there are pre-existing crops growing all around it. Did I just win?

There is no winning or losing, just survival. And I forsaw that there is no way we'd have enough oil to sustain an oil pit, I was just saying it'd be convenient. Any resources we have should go towards survival, we won't be able to afford to waste any of it. I just don't like the idea of being in a place surrounded by a wall that I can't get out of if zombies block the one entrance to the place. You should always have a back up plan. We just have the advantage of thinking out plans beforehand, so we can tell which ones are the best.

Enough electricity to power the homes of 60,000 people for 4 months. It could keep a group of 60-100 people alive until the zombie apocalypse is over.
