Force all the zombies into the Grand Canyon, fill it with water (enough so they can't get out, otherwise as much as possible), then drop in as big a piece of caesium as possible. Re-enact the big bang.

Or maybe bombs that blow a fine mist of water and brain-eating amoeba all over the place.

 

 

 

The amoeba could then be later taken out by a virus or something. One that isn't harmful to us. That seems like a half-assed failsafe, but its not. >.>

 

 

 

I propose clinical tests! Do zombies have enough fluid seeping from their heads to allow safe passage of the entamoeba?

Without the earth, the moon would go flying off into either another planet's orbit, the sun, or into the vastness of space. While another planet would seem survivable, I doubt we can build a colony capable of surviving space on short notice.

So to get on topic, what do you guys think of a weapon of the day idea? Someone picks a weapon and then we debate how effective it would be during the zombie apocalypse. Anyone think it's a good idea, or are you guys just going to keep talking about magic?

As long as it is a double-action revolver. Also, maybe we could develop a way to reload faster, such as in the way in CoD:WaW (where the ammo sits on a wheel and all the bullets a loaded at the same time.

It has more kick, but more power, which doesn't matter too much but it means the bullets weigh more. The bullets are pretty common. Reload is slower, but not to bad if you use speedloaders. I'd say it's ok as a sidearm, seeing as it's reliable, and that's what you need. I think the bullets might be sharable with some rifle too.

useless at a distance but very good close quarter weapon, much better than a sword, plus a 20 should be fine as anything more powerfull is just overkill.

Revolvers are a good choice as a sidearm; and if we could find a good 8 round model they would be ideal for all close quarter situations. With just 6 bullets the main risk is running out with a zombie left, but if you are fighting more then 6 zombies in close quarter with no way to run its reasonable to assume nothing is going to save you.

There's not a lot to discuss about a revolver, but ok.

3/10 as a primary weapon, it simply won't do the job if you find yourself surrounded. Not the easiest gun to fire and after enough shots you'll find it harder to aim and re-load as fast.

 

 

 

8/10 as a secondary. It has the power to deliver the headshot needed but is small enough that it won't be a real burden to carry. In situation where the number of isn't high it's ideal.
