snowager286
Lately, I've been wondering does jagex even listen to us anymore?(it maybe prehaps that they listen to much to some people) After the "riots" I came to the realization that dispite well over 100 thousand plus players could not even stir a reaction from jagex. Maybe they just gotten sick of listening to our compliants and decieded to just do what they want regardless.
jedidude77
unfortunately, i believe this to be true, through the past riots os RS, Jagex has not once acted on them and reverted the update responsible. They believe all updates are the best for the game. There's no such thing as "wireless." Just really long extension cords.
Whitearmy
They keep loosing players, and by these stupid updates they have been making lately, i believe the amount of players will decrease heavily. I mean, if this ever would have happened in RSC, people would've quit it immediately.
Nabbagad
If Jagex didn't care then they wouldn't have tried to stop RWT in the first place. And what do you mean they were getting sick of our complaints and decided what to do regardless. They were being ranted at for having all these bots and "not doing anything about it". Well there you go, Jagex did do something about, and from what their Development Diaries state, they have been working on this since last year. Try to look on Jagex's side. They get ranted at for every update even when it has no effect on people. They get called named for doing nothing about the cheaters of runescape and everytime they try to fix something, or listen to their players, they get ranted at even more. Now I'm not saying I like these recent updates because I don't like them, infact I hate it. This update is the only update that I have felt like ranting at pretty much ever, but I chose not to (not including these types of posts) because I can see Jagex are trying. Give them a chance, I'm sure there either in the progress or thinking about better ways for these new systems to make others happy while still battling the RWT. To the posters above^^ You ask why Jagex don't act on riots. Uh, why would you? Yelling in an inappropiate mannar at Jagex for ruining the game and spamming is not the way to rant about a certain update. There is a rants forum for people to post their well thought rants down with a reasonable explanation as to why there is something wrong with this certain update/whatever. I do support ranting, but only when the reason is valid, as well as some methods and improvements that can make the certain area better. Anyway to sum up the post: You can't say Jagex don't care. Consider that they could have just taken the easy way out and allowed RWT and even sold gold themselves. Probably could have made nice money at it too. Omali
Three cheers for the runescape mentality: FIX THIS NO MATTER WHAT COST. JAGEX YOU'RE NOT DOING ENOUGH, I'LL TAKE MY MONEY ELSEWHERE. (Post Update) WHY DID YOU HAVE TO FIX THIS NO MATTER WHAT COST? JAGEX YOU'RE TRYING TOO HARD. I'M QUITTING*. *90% of the players (estimated) that make this claim will not follow through.** **Jagex doesn't care about those who do.
wakka102
A reaction?? Its only been a friggin day! I can't believe some of the comments people are saying. While I do not agree at all with this update people are seriously jumping the gun on this, the update hasn't been out for more than 24 hours and everyone thinks its the end of the world. There is already strong evidence to support that Jagex will make revisions to this update, they stated they have lost tons of business as well as did not take all of the issues that have risen up into consideration. I'll be surprised if we don't see an update to this later then next week. People just need to cool it and wait and see what happens.

It's easily understandable that Jagex will make slight adjustments, but where did they say that they've actually lost a lot of business because of this? Freesia
You are being naive if you believe a riot can solve anything. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(. Meta_Mucil
Give me a break...What do you people want? After reading about the update and why it was implemented, I have to side with Jagex. Runescape is a fantasy role playing game, not a fantasy financial market. As for PK'ing, I am glad to see it moved to a single spot. I hated worrying about someone trying to ice me while I was following a clue or RC'ing. If i want to PK, then I will go to the proper spot. These updates are not to be blamed on Jagex, but on RL traders, gold farmers and bots. Y'all whined about them not fixing those problems and when they do, their fix does not suit your needs. Go ahead and quit, there are other games out there that cost more money. You will start complaining there just like you complain here. I am sticking around...I enjoy Runescape as it is. Well qeltar, i found some of your articles/posts very truthful, and some of them quite ignorant. I think this is an ignorant one. Every person quitting is not an improvement to the community. I'm probably gona quit because of the staking limits really. I trained and trained and trained my mage and my hunter and my fletch and have gathered all resources i need for 99 range so that i could duel. Over that time training, i had alot of fun, met alot of new and important people and became relatively famous for personallity and skill in my few worlds. I even started making a duelling video in which i won over 100m, even without 99 range. My motivation was unmatched and my goal was clear. I had over 400 people turn up to a really fun 99 mage party! Now, i'll never finish the video, i'll never become the duelling name that i thought i could become and question why i bothered getting 99 mage and all the other skills that i had done for the purpose of building towards a staking dream. :( Anyway, as arragant as this is; when i quit i don't think it will be an impovement to the community. I'm waiting to see summoning before i make my final words. Yeah...Some people just go out of their way to ruin other peoples fun.Sounds like Jagex to me...
Armadyllo
Suppose a kid is upset that his mommy and daddy stopped him doing something he liked. Do they care that he's upset? Yes. Do they listen to him? Yes. Do they give in when he starts screaming abuse? No. Now, Jagex is not our mommy, and they have a financial interest in "caring" for their customers, but some of the principles are the same. They think it's important to get rid of RWT, so they do it. They'll have known full well that it'd be open season for ranting and rioting afterwards; every time anyone questions whether that kind of thing works, someone posts "they gave in over the SwiftSwitch riots" - which isn't even accurate - and the riots continue. But they think it's worth upsetting lots of people, even though it's prompting many people to quit. It doesn't mean they don't care, but it does mean they're unlikely to reverse their decision just because people got upset. Ironically, the riots probably add more community spirit to the game than anything else does.
qeltar
Every person quitting is not an improvement to the community. I never said that it was good for reasonable, decent players to quit. I said that the community is improved if the people who are spamming and rioting and acting like morons quit. SwreeTak
Of course Jagex still listens to us! For example, didn't Jagex give F2P more bankspace for not more than just a few days ago? And haven't they been trying to stop RWTs, one of the biggest problems ever for every RS player? Jagex still listens to us, but they have started making changes that might have been a little to fast done... Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak

Reztral
Jagex does these kinds of updates to make the game as a whole better. If they make some people mad (100,000 people out of 6,000,000 is not that many) then those people will just have to either deal with it or find something else to do. --8727th person to achieve 99 Fishing on 8/19/2008----6012th person to achieve 99 Thieving on 10/12/2008--R.I.P.
