December 20, 200718 yr Not only did you break Rule 12, you encouraged it by exchanging gp for donations to whatever it is you wanted donations for. Seeing as that is against the rules I don't see why you and every other tip.it'er aren't banned for rule breaking.

Seeing as that is against the rules I don't see why you and every other tip.it'er aren't banned for rule breaking. It's...A video game. An MMORPG. Sure, he may have broken a couple of rules...But Trapical did something that I've never heard of on ANY forum. He raised money for people in need, people who can't have computers or be in warmth. Like we do. I'd gladly step up and say I broke the rules--a small cost for saving lives, helping people. Hell, it'd get me off the computer. Anyway, excellent work. I've a snow day, lucky me, yay. I'll come and attempt to invite my friends. Happy holidays, Tropical. And to everyone. ~SK Hoping to get a new Signature (with matching avatar) soon. :D In the meantime...Steam username: )I'll rewrite it later (add me if you want)
December 20, 200718 yr Wow, how many other forums can say that? Great job everyone and especially you Trapical. :) Heh, I'll be sure and come. Who knows, I might get a chance to buy my santa hat. :P
December 20, 200718 yr I know I'm late for the give-away and I probably won't participate in the drop party either. Just to let you know that I will probably consider philanthropy in my will when that time comes. Also, when I do have some money (I don't have anything right now) I'll probably donate to Child's Play, which helps sick kids in children's hospitals around the world, not just in the US.

While a half-mature person would at least say, wow he raised THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS for charity, that is not even going through him to the charity. You on the other hand, take the bureaucratic route, and claim that he should be banned for inciting real world item trading. Here's a hint: Even if this was against the rules, do you HONESTLY believe Jagex is going to ban him for offering an incentive for players to help starving families? Post edited - You may have a point but don't break tip.it rules by flaming another person -Bluelancer
December 20, 200718 yr Anyway, I'd love to come to the drop party, but I have work. You've done amazing work with this method of inciting charity. Here's hoping that other game communities may start this method as well.
December 20, 200718 yr you are truly amazing. if you get banned for this, i will personally go to Jagex and get in Andrew's face. you are an amazing person, quite an inspiration, and a wonderful example of how not everyone is only out for themselves =D>

Oh, wow, you are right, how dare he help raise nearly 3,000 dollars to save children from contracting a deadly disease. What a scumbag, he should do drown himself in a bucket of hot oil. He, who organized this, and every other "miscreant" who donated money to the red cross should be banned. How could these forums be responsible for this treason of raising 3,000 dollars for helping poor families in poor countries. Oh, the Hugh_Mannity should ban you You could drop specific junk items under the 3k limit, and those would represent the items you would have dropped. When the person trades you their drop, you can trade them the item that you would have dropped. Or in more simple terms, you drop a noted 23 buckets and those represent a rune platebody. When the person trades you the 23 buckets, you trade them the rune platebody.
December 20, 200718 yr So it is in about 3 hours? (always get confused with pm and am :uhh:  ) I'll come, even if it is only to get more support for what you are doing 8-) - Back to casual f2p scaping due to limited time (university and girlfriend ) -
December 20, 200718 yr What a nice idea to host a party! I will definatally try to come, even if it will be a little hard. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
December 20, 200718 yr EST is GMT+5 so it's at 9PM GMT You my son are an inspiration, within 24 hours u have raised almost $3000, all from a game, I myself can't give donations as i don't own a credit card =/ so I do lot's of things in school, previously posted in you other topic. You have a enourmous heart and deserve a pat on the back as you have saved literally saved thousand's of lives. Good on you, i wish you the best in life ~Muj~

Seeing as that is against the rules I don't see why you and every other tip.it'er aren't banned for rule breaking. Edited the grossly flaming post of Omali towards TearGod, but thought to also mention: Not only no Jagex's real world trading/tip.it rules were broken at all by trapical, it speaks volumes of a person's character to try to indict a good-willing person based on bureaucratic rules and articles. Don't consider this an attack/insult; Consider shame on yourself for wanting to do harm on people who are trying to help poor fellow humans who can't even dream of having constant clean drinking water or food, let alone a computer and 24/7 internet access. This has nothing to do with breaking rules. The only winners and beneficiaries here are poor people. Instead of breaking rules and selling those 450m gold (plus more that he has) or trying to get fame by hosting lavish drop parties; He decided to put his digital items to the benefit of real, living human beings who have unreasonable suffering. The $3k may not be much, but it's better than nothing.
December 20, 200718 yr Wow, does Trapical really have 450m? That's really impressive for someone with only 909 skill total! :D I think he was a party hat merchant back in the day. And no, Trapical did not break rule 12. The drop party is independent of the donations, so no real-world trading has happened.
