Kashi
Freedom of religion, for example, includes the right to push your religion on other people. That's good, that's fine, because if someone pushes their religion on you you're free to ignore them. Free to be gay, free to gay bash. You want to be gay? That's cool I want to make fun of you being gay. You're free to have sex with men, I'm free to make fun of you for it, don't like it ignore it sorry. :( You're free to be a vegetarian! Don't eat meat, I don't care. But I am free to eat a big bloody steak if I feel so inclined. Think steak is murder? That's good, feel free to some up to Applebee's and tell me so over my plate. You can if you want. Republican? That's cool, feel free to, I'm free to be a Democrat. Democrat? Go for it, I'm free to be a Republican. Think abortion is wrong? Go ahead and protest! Think abortion protesters are stupid? Go punch one out. The point here is, freedom is a three way street. You're free to do a thing, I'm free to do my own thing, but we're both just as free to tell the other one that what they're doing is wrong. This is poor wording but I think you get my point. My greatest ambition is to kill every member of the human race. However I am a realist and therefore know that I probably wont be able to.

Unless your a total douche bag with nothing better to do.. It's almost as bad as making fun out of people who are born blind, deaf e.t.c. People are born gay and I can't wait till science finally confirms this as stone fact. Also men are not the only gay people, there are women too or will you not make 'fun' of them for having sex with women? Double standards...? And why do gay people have to just take abuse from you and 'ignore' it, they have feeling too and constant verbal abuse can get people down and even drive them to commit suicide. crimsonking
Its sad and wrong, but hes right Str0wez, whether you are born with it or not, people are allowed to make fun of it and there are always going to be those that will take full use of that freedom just to get their daily kicks. ~^v^~Ex-Leader of the Divine Flames of Redemption~^v^~
IGoddessI
So are you interested in other people̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s opinions too, or did you just create this because you always like to be heard? dsavi
I, personally, hardly know anything about gay people, simply because I have never met a gay person. I would like to one time, (I'm not gay) I don't know their opinion on anything.
Nadril
This is pretty stupid. You ever wonder why there are laws on murder and such? Because even though, yes, the 'right to murder' is a freedom the actual act takes away every freedom from another person. You are not free to do anything, and racism/sexism is not something I would jot down as a 'freedom'.

NorthernHero
OP, you sound somewhat ignorant of another peoples opinions to me. Youre free to bash gays? ok. Youre free to push your religional wievs on other people? Yep. But most of us leave it because we think of the other peoples feelings too. I know I know what that sounds  :boohoo:  . But thats my point and im free to say it :P luckily... Reality is hundreds of times more beautiful and more interesting than delusions. BlueLancer
1. Think abortion is wrong? Go ahead and protest! Think abortion protesters are stupid? Go punch one out. The point here is, freedom is a three way street. 2.You're free to do a thing, I'm free to do my own thing, but we're both just as free to tell the other one that what they're doing is wrong. This is poor wording but I think you get my point. 1. You can't just think a person/group of people are "stupid" and punch them out. You'll end up with charges and probably jail time. You don't have that freedom in any country of the world. 2. True, but you must tell them why you think they're wrong. For example, I think innocent people shouldn't be killed or robbed. Another person can tell me I'm wrong, sure, but he will have a very hard time explaining why my stance is less correct than his. You can be wrong or do wrong in a lot of vague and broad things like politics, sure, there are many solutions and sometimes, even the leaders, representatives, kings and presidents can be wrong. You can be wrong when raising a child and taking the wrong approach sometimes. You can be wrong when it comes to sports, chess, etc. strategy. It's difficult to be perfect and please everyone and make all the correct moves. Sometimes another person can tell you what's the right thing to do, and if it makes sense and I realize I'm wrong, I'll change my ways. But there are certain moral and ethical issues which don't make sense to be contested, like the right to live peacefully & not be murdered. Sure you can excercise your "freedom" to mock morals & ethics just because you can, but it will make you look dumb and un-informed, and you further a cause which has disadvantage towards you and the entire society around you. Randox
I was under the impression that the basic freedoms came with the caveat that exercising your liberties should not negatively impact someone else's ability to do the same. I agree there are resonable limits. A good one is that you do not have the right to sensless slander. I also disagree with the policy that allows cerimonial/religios swords on airplanes whena fingernail file is not allowed. I think in this case religion should take a back seat. But in general I agree with the topic starter though I have personal problems with ANYONE who pushes their religion on someone else, especily in psedo black mail situations (some christian aid organizations have criteria that people they help must meet). BlueLancer
I also disagree with the policy that allows cerimonial/religios swords on airplanes Why on earth would an airplane company allow religious swords on a flight? It's a razor sharp object regardless of what you call it... I hope you can't cite a company which actually allows those while on-board. Some companies even remove passengers who pray while on board (in a manner which is clearly visible to everyone) so I'd have a hard time believing the sword thing. They escorted the guy out before the plane even ascended.

What if my favorite thing is keeping other people from having freedom, are you denying me my freedom to deny them their freedom? :( Basically what I'm pulling for here is complete anarchy.
