POSTED AND CREDITED! Charms drops topic 1 (Locked)

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the Forum for updates on Charm Drops. Any information you have please post on this thread. Credit will be given when due.

Because the Bestiary can't be updated directly on Tip.it, I guess this is the way it will have to be done...

Any information regarding:

Which monsters drop charms (Try to include the Level of the monster)

Which color charms that specific monster drops

How many charms of that specific color dropped at one time

How many kills of that monster it takes to get a specified charm (Just tell how many time you killed it, and how many times you got which charms.)

Should be posted on this thread, and you will be given credit if you were first to post it.

You won't need to submit all this information, any information you have would be great to us!

If you keep track of the probability, post how many kills you got, and how many charms you got. Percentage won't be much help to us, as we need to add how many kills and charms EVERYONE got.

I have a theory: If a monster drops one colour of charm, it will drop all four colours of charm.

If someone could confirm this one way or another, it would help us on the Bestiary massively. For instance, do Chaos Dwarves drop Crimson charms? Do Basilisks actually drop Blue charms?

For those interested, I've decided to call all drops as "Charm(#)" instead of their actual colours.

lvl ? wolves (those on white wolf mountain) drops green charms (1)

gimme credit :D

There are wolves of more than one level on White Wolf Mt. You will need to know which exact level.

Hmm interesting theory, Ginger. It could be possible, but not likely Level 28 Hill Giants drop Obsidian Charms?

I mean, anythings possible, maybe like an extremely rare drop for the lower levels. Oh yeah, I'll add to the top that anyone with information and preferrably proof (Screenshots) should post here and I'll give credit where it's due.

I agree with Ginger, excluding Obsidian Charms, those seem to be exclusively tzhaar. But, I've seen a couple of threads where people claim to be getting a clear increase of certain colours from specific monsters(eg crimson from shadow warriors).

EDIT: Also, "Gold" charms seem to be the most common of the charms for most monsters, probably because they're the lowest level ones. Here is a useful thread on this.

I found some monsters drop alot more of a certain kind.

For instance I heard fire giants rarely drop anything then gold

While Baby black dragon (level-83) drops gold, crimson, blue, and green at a perfectly equal rate. 1 at a time

Since what players want to know is not what monster drops what we should have a frequency system to show how often you can explain a drop

Gold charm (++) or something :anxious:

Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.

Zamorak Warrior(lvl 85) --> Gold Charm(1)

Giant crypt rat (lvl 76) --> Green Charm(1)

Possesed Pickaxe(lvl 50)--> Gold Charm(1)

I'll edit my post if i Find more

+1, I hate the work it entails for the Crew but I have to agree. People are gonna want to know if they will get 93 gold charms, 3 red, 3 green and 1 blue as opposed to 0 gold, 50 red, 50 green, 0 blue.

I have no idea how this will really play out in practicality (actual distributions of drops) ... I suggest using something that can be search/replaced (so a variable symbol like # isn't ideal).

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

Yes very interesting. Researching that would be a lot harder than researching what I'm doing now, but it would be impossible to research the drop rate when we don't know which charms they actually drop. Sorry if I'm just kinda starting out slow here, hope this information would still come of use to you.

Finished a ~200 Kalphites task on the soldiers (level 85)

Not the best drop rate...

anyway they drop gold, green, blue, crimson charms, 1 at the time.

the distribution is about

2:1:1:1

gold>green>blue>crimson

Absolutely not. The work you are doing here will be of huge help later on. This is exactly the research technique we like from the community. :)

So what do you exactly want us to do now? (if we want to offcourse :P)

what color of charm they drop or also the drop rate?

Infernal mages also drop green, gold and crimson charms.

Just had them as a slayer assignment: 2 green, 2 crimson and 8 golds in 48 kills while wearing a ring of wealth.

My role on Tip.It isn't to guide you guys, it's to guide the data you gather yourselves and provide us into a presentable format on the Tip.It Bestiary.

Go about your everyday RS lives. If you find a monster that drops charms, tell us how many charms that monster drops compared to how many of them you killed. That would help massively. ::'

bloodvelds drop all four kinds, but they seem to drop green the most, followed by gold.

abby specs drop all four as well, but pretty evenly distributed. Because of this they're one of the better not-so-high-lvl sources of blue charms I've found so far.
