Combine this with the fact that all mosters in the chaos tunnels drop more charms than normal and you should be onto a winner... 1) 20 minutes is a huge amount of time to waste. 2) No, only some monsters drop more charms in the CT than in regular locations. 3) So? It doesn't matter if they attack you first, not like they're overly dangerous or anything. 4) Ambushed? I just told you it's single combat.
